Favourite Color

Sounds like a fairly simple topic, I know, but I just happened to wonder what everyone's favourite colour is, and why.

Me, its That Gray That Looks Kinda Blue, mainly because to me it represents not only the honor and nobility and heroism of blue, but also the distinguished, old-lion feel of it being grey.

I chip in on the side of Royal Blue. It's just so rich and beautiful, and blue seems to be where my aesthetics have settled. (started out pink, then purple, blue, green, and back to blue)

Violet is my favorite color. I despise lavender, though.

As for why, there's a lot of reasons. For one, I just think it looks good. It's partway between red and blue with some black tossed in. It's royal without being gaudy. Purple is supposedly a color related to spirtuality, so I'm subverting that.

Pretty much any dark color, there the only ones that make me look decent. I prefer something like forest green though because it's a tranquil color.

My favourite colour is royal blue tending toward black.

Most blues are dominant, forceful, colors for me. I will notice the "lady in blue" faster than the "lady in red". This is due to my eyes seeing everything with a slight blue hue to them (of which, took me with a bit of assistance a long time to realize/figure out).
This makes most blues favored.

However, color shouldn't be just left to a single hue, or even an assortment of tints and shades of that hue. Color, after all, have a lot more effect among other colors, shapes, placement, amount and so forth. So, towards the topic I must also state that I a fan of stark contrast. White on black. Pink (though I despise pink otherwise) on either black or a heavily shaded red. Violet and yellow, and most compliments that bring a strong contrast.

My ultimate favored color condition and color scheme at this point in time is a 'bright' electric blue that tints inward, struck down in rapidly changing, sometimes forking, thin lines down a solid sheet of a very dark violet (near black).

Loads of people see to like blue. Me, I prefer yellow and pink. (Though I never wear either. I wear blue like a sensible person. But I decorate my rooms in yellow and pink.)

Silver or a slightly deep blue. The silver, no clue why, and I don't know about the deep blue, but if something is giving off blue light, it really screws up my eyes. :smallconfused:

I used to like blue a lot. I still like it, but just not so much the bright shades of it. Funny that of all the colours blue is the only one that I can find artificial. Sky is blue, birds are blue, flowers are blue... yet if I see a man-made blue object, if brightly coloured, only reminds me of blue raspberry things and Windex.

Anyway, green is probably my favourite now. Its just so... green.

And black. Always black. Everything goes with it, and on its own I think its a pretty elegant colour.

Pinks and orange-pinks are nice. Like the colours here labled "bright pink" and "coral pink". (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Shades_of_pink)

Well, something like a dark blue might be. I always liked blue. I mean, If I had to choose one color to be sourrounded by, It would be blue, but a color for what it looks like and symbolizes then probably red. I can have blue walls, but a red room is just crazy.

i also favor orange primarily. not just any orange though - there's a specific bright, higher-saturation orange that i love and do not get to see very often. 'tangerine' might be the approximate name. think the sort of orange that the transparent orange lego pieces are, or the color of the orange light sabers in KotOR.

course i'm just generally fond of high-saturation bright colors. walking down the street and seeing more'n half the people there wearing just black or something similarly boring makes me want to scream. i'm not saying i want to run round in magenta spandex, but still.

Purple, definitely. Other favorites include indigo, turquoise, various blues and greens... and for some reason, yellow is my favored color for towels and submarines. :smallsmile:

It will most of the time be green. the only color that beats it is not really 1 color. Do you know when the fall comes and all the leaves change colors that range from orange, yellow, brown, and sometimes a dark red/orange? I love that mix...unfoutunatly AZ only has 2 seasons. HOT and COLD

Mine is green. I decided so in the sixth grade when everyone was asked to put their favorite color up on the board. 95% of the class put blue, so I decided to show those losers what was what and said green :smallcool:

Now half of my shirts are green, and I wear at least two pieces of green every day. I love green now!:smallwink:
