Crow Familiar offspring

Situation

NPC has a crow familiar.
NPC raises crows to make people around him unsure when they are being watched by a crow or by his familar.

I'm assuming the Crow familiar likes this arrangement and has a wealth of mates.

In my game world I've added a type of crow that basically acts like a carrier pigeon. (Just thought it was a cool thing)


Questions:


1. Think it matters if the familiar is male or female? Beyond the inconvenience of having a bird heavy with egg.

2. Any inherited weirdness for crows born with a parent that was a familiar. I'm not looking for super powers here but something....

I don't think it'd be out of the question for the offspring to have a couple more HP and slightly enhanced intelligence. Nothing near the bonuses a familiar gets, of course, but head and shoulders above the average crow.

Yeah. I'd give them Int 3 and the Magical Beast (Augmented Animal) type. They'd have the ability to learn language, but not well.
