I've noticed a lot of people coming and asking for theme tunes for characters, so I thought I'd try making a consolidated thread. There's two characters I'd quite like a theme for:

Undead Elf Ranger, somewhere between NG and CG. Will shortly be gaining fun stuff relating to the planes, quite enjoys his undeadness but has to hide this fact otherwise the party druid would kill him.

Copper Dragon Bard, CG. Very good orator and diplomancer, somewhat based off Geoffrey Chaucer from A Knight's Tale. Fairly mischievous streak, but doesn't like evil (or as party parlance would have it, "mean") people at all. Has taken on the role of herald to the party leader, a white dragon barbarian.

Starting a consolodation thread normally starts with getting all the old posts into a large list, not asking for new ones. :smallwink:

As in, anyone can come and ask here for themes for their characters.

Hmm, for the second character, what about one of these:

I always wanted a bard who plays Rock of Ages all the time, for some reason. Maybe I'll make one as a DMPC in the campaign I'm working on.

On an unrelated note, I just saw the music video for that song, and I'd have to say it's almost as ridiculous as Knights of Cydonia.

Hehe, the first one gave me a hilarious mental image of him popping his head out from behind random trees, walls, houses etc.

I think I like the third one best, though it might be a bit too badass for him. He's no great shakes in combat, though he's starting to pick up a few nice blasty spells.

Fun stuff relating to the planes sound like Planscape to me, and luckily, the OST of Planescape: Torment was (and probably still is) available as a free download. I would recommend the theme of the mortuary or the smoldering corpse, or if you prfer something more tragic, try the Deionarra theme.

Ah, that makes more sense. :smalltongue: Guess I'll toss some of mine in here.

I'll point out now, our party rolls for appearance, but does it seperately from our other stats. I keep rolling 18s, often to my detriment.

First up is Jo Pistachio, an illigitimate child of James Bond and a random scientist. He's a super genius with a suave streak, but despite that, I rolled all critical fails on his charisma based checks, except a few natural twenties. I literaly never rolled in between. He never gets discouraged, and is insanely confident in himself, and doesn't hesitate to throw himself in front of a dangerous attack to protect others. His crazy inventions are unique in that they don't backfire dangerously, despite incorperating dangerous substances like grey goo.

My second favourite character was Lorne, a merchant. This character was obsessed with money to a large degree, but always made sure that the party made more money when I was around, as opposed to when I wasn't, mostly so they wouldn't off me. I spent a lot of time mocking our enemies, so most of the recurring ones hated me in particular. I spent a lot of time being full of vanity, and shooting other people down.

Lately comes Cael, who is a sickly elven blacksmith with miners lung and a limp. He's an excellent mage, and a liche, despite his rather alive looking appearances. (choaker of gentle repose) He spends all his time making people better at what they do, making sure there is peace throughout the lands, and teaching knowledge to everyone. He is afraid of hags, despite being a high epic character in a setting where the toughest hag would be something like CR 20. He's also got a bunch of aberrancy, most notably aberrant mind.

I always imagine my bard in the Last Days of Askess PbP game here to the tune of "The Safety Dance."
