Please, forgive Lord Xykon's actual missing, he will be posted soon (when I manage to download my own ones). For now... enjoy Haley, Roy and THE CREATURE!

That's because I took the expressions from some casual strips.

Thank YOU!!! Wait for Lord Xykon... he was the coolest, I think! :smallwink:

Nice costumes! However it appears that you, like Celia before you (or after? I suppose these pics were probably taken before oots602), also have trouble drawing faces because you tend to make both eyes the same size.

I like the MITD costume best. The faces are kind of creepy. :smallcool: You should've made the eyes different sizes.
Do you have Xykon pics? They must be posted.

Guys they were low-cost costumes... we just wanted something funny for us and OOTS's fans.
What's this MITD?

Yeah, we've got Lord Xykon, wait a little bit...:smallwink:

Well I liked the costumes. I even think you should have paid for less fabric on the Haley costume :smallwink:

As for the MITD, the CREATURE as you call it, la creatura, he is il Mostro Nella Nerezza, the Monster In The Darkness.

Ohhhhh! You meant: Monster In The Dark! Sorry...

Really, I should have made YELLOW eyes, but the Creature will be perfectioned for next year (we had a few time to make everything).

Awesome! The only thing that could make those better would be Jack-in-the-Box style heads.

What conventions were these from?

No more! You're right, but I had problem (at the time) with pc and I lost some Xykon's photos and others... no problem, we replied cosplay this year: here to you some new photos... where you can also find my real identity! XD

Enjoy!

(you won't find Roy, unfortunately...)

Xykon is cool. Only the eyes from MITD are plain yellow. No black dots. Thats kinda weird.

On a scale of 1 to 10, she ranks a solid Felicia Day.

As for the costumes, very nice. I love the creativity in using actual stick figure faces (although Roy's face is a little weird). The MitD is pretty cool too. Just have to ask though: did anyone have trouble telling who you guys were? I'm just wondering because I'm not sure how big OotS is in the real world (only like one of my friends besides me reads it).

:miko: what is this "real world" of which you speak?

(Awesome costuming BTW!)

Ehhhhhhhhya, what a compliment!

About popularity, I know what you mean: really, a few peaple knew us, but the ones who didn't were enthusiast for MITD and the ones who did went into raptures... and that's what we wanted, at all! :D

I hope you checked with a moderator, so the thread doesn't get locked, because I'm glad I saw these! They should stay up for a while.

Can I do one for halloween?

Aloona
2010-10-04, 07:41 PM
I hope they will, I saw this thread was never closed by any moderator 'till now... I don't usually reply too long a cosplay, but there's a probability we found other guys to make group complete in this edition of Romics (a famouse comics event we've got in Rome and the place we are in photos). In this case we could consider a third reply, all togheter! Celia included!

Sure you can do! It's easy: we spent some time making the umbrella, but the rest of the cosplay is very cheap and fast. Maybe you'll spend a little more time if you want to make some papier-mache objects (like Roy's sword, 2 years ago), but nothing impossible.

I'm in shock people Cosplay in Rome! Face it, it's a place where you say "Donatello" and people don't think "Ninja Turtle"?

Ehhhh... you see... we came out from Middle Age long ago. Think, we also have COMPUTERS here!!!! O__O

And also some of the biggest comics events of Europe, first among all Lucca Comics, where you could find Elmore or Tracy Hickman or Joe Dever (probably having dinner with our beloved Librogame's Land forum, as every year).

http://www.slide.com/r/Ag9dLMMb1D-yXcC4U9Sr4Kt-QmYjhS8M

(I am the only girl, in yellow XD)

We've got wonderful cosplayers. If you want to see some great FF Cosplay you can search for "Tokio Babylon" group on internet, photos of the last years, 'cause they don't play anymore.
I hope peaple here post some photos soon, this year we had beautyful Mad Hatters, winged Digimons, Risiko's tank panzer (I swear!) and a totally crazy guy with a (more or less) five-meter evil tree on his back... made in fibreglass! I don't remember who he was, but he was red eyed. And much more...
I'll post soon some of mine: unfortunately I just had a phone camera and some of these aren't focused because of darkness inside Cosplay Competition Area.

No Lucca for me this year... :smallfrown:

But yeah, Italy offers a good variety of things for comics and GdR. In 1999 at the ModCon we had Gary Gygax as Guest, and I played with him.

Anyway, yeah, your MitD is great!

"eyes" :smalltongue: I do not consider high heels to be clear evidence of a person's gender.

:smallconfused: Why the heck would there be a problem with a moderator on this thread??

Also a double thumbs up for the woman in the high heels V outfit (although not nearly as androgynous as the true V, would be rather hard for her to pull off without a very snug sports bra ;)

i'm italian myself, and i'm just curious to know how many are we (which makes me wonder about why am i writing in english, but who cares)

Same reason I'm not speaking (er, typing) French ;) -- from the board rules:

This is an English-speaking forum. With the exception of text-only translations of the comic or other specifically authorized exceptions, please use English only on this forum. While an occasional word or phrase is acceptable, entire posts, conversations, or threads in languages other than English will be scrubbed or closed.

Major thread necromnacy. Although the necromancer is the author of the thread, so I don't think it's a problem. If it was, it'd probably be locked by now.
