A government-simulation browser game, far greater amount of options and variables than the original game.

My nation is Fjaland in the Arctic region of World 80. Join up and trade with me!

Mmmm.. after a good long run for 3 years in The West Pacific and all the drama that resulted from it, I'm not getting back into NS.

Though it surprises me that they finally did NS 2.

Yeah, it always seemed to be "in development" I don't think anyone actually expected it to come out.

'Course, I spent most of my time there in the trenches of the General forum...

I've barely done anything with Nationstates 2, but I've been on the original for quite a while. My nation in both is the Holy Empire of Virbonius (http://www.nationstates.net/nation=virbonius), if anyone wants to add me as an ally or anything. I'm in the Arctic in World 38 on NS2, but I have NO idea what any of that means.

EDIT: Also, for those on NS1, we have a Giant in the Playground Region (http://www.nationstates.net/12230/page=display_region/region=giant_in_the_playground), but there's only 6 nations left. Feel free to join if you'd like.

They almost had me until I realised that they expect people to pay $5 a month for the privilege of using a custom flag

In any case, the fun of NS was never the game itself but the many tiny communities that grew up in the various regions

I'm the supreme dictator of The Holy Empire of Cerutonia in World 48. And as far as I know, I'm the only Iron Fist Socialism nation on the whole planet there.

Edit: But there seems to be a problem with the economy lately (namely a massive deflation) causing every state that is not completely autonomous to loose lots of money (and not satify the populations needs).

Dictatoria on world 85. Interestingly enough, my nation is the only dictatorship on that continent.

Aramid on world 85, Dictatoria.

Welcome! Let's us join in an alliance. I have already made one. I'll invite you and everything. You aren't technically a dictatorship, but we can fix that!

I've made the Empire of Guerre on world 85. Guess what I want to do with it.

Cool. Should we havy any other laws than the FDTA?

Well, as a Valued Member you have the right to propose new laws, that we can then vote on. All Valued Members have 2 votes each, worth twice as much as a Worthless Puppet State vote, amounting to Valued Members (and Supreme Leaders) having 4 votes each.

A mutual protection treaty might be a good idea. We are supposed to be a military alliance after all.

Yeah. I think I'll write something down.
