I'd say that #610 is perhaps one of the best even including from the beginning til' now, and it is certainly climatic and epic!!!

Unfortunately, I doubt we'll see any Belkar-action in 611. There will probably be another perspective shift and we'll see Durkon recieving the Sending spell. Or maybe back to Team evil or even V. It just seems like too good a cliff-hanger for the Giant to waste.

Maybe I am incorrect but I think the Giant wants to resolve the plotline finally, seeing how quickly the strip updated from 609 to 610...

1- Actually contrary to popular belief Rich does finish an side-arc before switching to the next side-arc.

He finished the wedding side-arc, before going on to Azure City/Resistance side-arc. Was all of the plot problems fixed before the switch.....no but the main one (the wedding) was resolved. The resistance arc switched back to the fleet arc with Haley knowing she had to leave Azure City. The next fleet arc ended with the orcs being appeased and the fleet sailing onward and so on. True he never finished the full story in that arc but he completed a small picture of it.

2- He wouldn't do that. Name once in the comic where something wasn't resolved like it should. And before you say the V and the imp arc, just remember that wasn't the point of that arc. It was Therka's relationship with Elan. That relationship was resolved. It led to a cliffhanger but then each of the side arcs have done so.

I took it more as getting that last strip in before the holiday week. Updates during holiday weeks seem to be rare lately.

Which means Rich was planning Roy's death in detail for at least that long. He needed a mechanism to control Roy when Belkar was dead .. thus, the Mark of Justice, giving us some weekend at Bernie's humor and keeping the little psycho from massacring all the hobbos and resistance in Azure City.

The Giant plans ahead, looks like.

I just have to say it: It's a-okay to wait for a strip at a slow-down of the comic. But to have us suspended like this - at a moment when Haley is about to die and Belkar is about to -- whatever Belkar will do -- it's just cruel, and I'm sure there is something in the Declaration of Rights or something that's supposed to protect us from it....

Thanksgiving (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thanksgiving). One of my favorites, actually. (And I always get annoyed when people/stores put up Christmas decorations and stuff BEFORE Thanksgiving.) Anyway, it's the fourth Thursday of November (at least here in the US), so that's three days from now.

And, yeah, I'm really anxious to see what happens next in Old Blind Pete's house!
