Here is a map that I made for An Enemy Spy (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/member.php?u=36518). I am posting it here so that others may view it & make comments. Here is his original description:

I totally want one of those awesome maps. I would like an enormous broken ring of land around a large interior continent. Have the ring be covered in jungle and the contenent be a little drier. Off the west caost of the interior continent, have a much smaller one.

And here is the map that I made with that description:

Schwow, that's impressive, Zeta. You're good at these. I may have to avail myself of your services someday...

What program do you use for this, if I may ask?

Impresive.
I seem to remember that he has said that he uses photoscape?

I use Photoshop CS3 & Illustrator CS3. Most PS for the maps.

How is it even possible to create such realistic maps with those programs alone?

That's really awesome! I might have to design a campaign setting myself, just so I can get you to draw the map!

There are a LOT of tricks you can do with Photoshop and Illustrator that have really cool and realistic-looking results. For example, I can create lightning or fire, both in about five minutes. I'd really like to know the technique Zeta is using for these maps.
