Well, Tiamat is the Oracle's diety, but Bahamut hasn't made an appearance as of yet...

Sort of a random topic, but that's nothing new here at OotS Forums!

Which Bahamut and Tiamat? The actual mythical dieties, the Order of the Stick, which Tiamat would win by default, or one of the many variations in videogames over the years?

If it is the D&D deities that you mean (in which case this should be in Gaming), then Tiamat, I think. She has all these cool armies and stuff, and FIVE HEADS, which is awesome. Or something like that.

Maybe the OotS Bahamut is Dragon of the Southern Pantheon?

Now that would be awesome...

But I'll vote Tiamat, I was close to make Tiamat my barbarian's patron (in FR)... Then I realised how cool would it be to worship Chauntea instead, with the scythe and all...

I don't think Bahamut is in the OotS-verse. Since Rich seems to be drawing more from classical mythology, the foe of Tiamat would be Marduk.

(incidentally, the name Bahamut came from Arabic mythology, according to Wiki)

Faerun makes Marduk and Bahamat one and the same (Marduk the Justice Bringer is aspect of Bahamut slain by Tiamat (I think it was mutual kill and reduced both from lesser gods to non-divine entities that grant spells, a la Demon Lords)

However, this is only Faerun.

Bahamut because Tiamat is weak against petrification. Not to mention that Bahamut can megaflare everything.

Bahamut...just because, in one campaign, I met a good aligned dragon, made a Diplomacy check, and the dragon let me have a bit of its hoard in order to better fight Evil for Great Justice.

Totally tiamat all the way. I mean, how does not having devil armies in hell not make you cool.

I'll pretend you're referring to La-Mulana here.

In which case, Palenque.
