Don't know if this has ever been mentioned. Just want to say, god damn I friggin hope not.
Got a huge kick in strip #1 when everyone converted from 3E to 3.5, and I can see lots of humor potential from making the characters adapt again, but I think I'd hate it. Two reasons:
1) Everything I've seen in previews and heard from folks about it make me think 4E just sucks big time, utterly dumbing it down to appeal to computer gamers who couldn't be bothered to learn complicated rules and want their characters to act like Conan at 1st level.
2) So much of the humor is based on the intricacies of 3.5 physics. No way I'm going to be absorbing the details of yet another rules system to, so the jokes would just fly by me.
Little comments lie Haley's dad being a first edition thief make me a little anxious that our little 3.5 world will be taken away. Has this possibility ever come up before?
