Strange SNES Cartrige Message

So I was looking through some used SNES games that were being sold and on the back of Illusion of Gaia someone wrote in black permanate marker "I'M SORRY". Does anyone have any idea someone would do this?

Apologizing for something involving a SNES cart? Somebody deleted somebody else's save file. Probably that one playthrough where said second somebody finally managed to find all the red gems.

I had a number of NES cartridges with odd things written on them. I think they were old rental games that had the stuff written on there so they could prove it belonged to them.

It's funny about things like this - it reminds us of how close we all are and yet how difficult it is to truly, fully understand one another. Just feel privileged that you have found a fragment - a relic - of another life. You can't know what it means - but it meant something, to someone.
