Woah.
Is there anything preventing a ranged ranger with this feat and an animal companion to have the animal grapple, and then you autohit the opponent?

That line does not mean what you think it means.

It means, "When you fire into a grapple, you don't need to check to see if you accidentally hit the wrong creature."

Yeah. The little 2 letter word at changes the meaning. If at wasn't there then you wouldn't need an attack roll, but since it is you still need an attack roll to hit the target.

Ah. That makes it better. Thanks to both of you. I was wondering why it seemed so overpowered.
