Am I the only person who heard the 'Jaws' theme in their heads while reading #611? It fit perfectly.
I'm curious -- if we were scoring a soundtrack for OOTS using existing pieces, what would you use? What pieces which strips, which characters would get which theme?
Elan, obviously, would be "Looney Tunes" melody. Roy could get Luke's theme from Star Wars. Xykon -- what else but Imperial March?
Other thoughts?

610-611: Right after the cleric removes the curse, the music for Here Comes the Sun starts playing. As Belkar falls on the first thief, he begins singing:
Here comes your death, here comes your death,
and I say it's 'bout time
N00bling Thieves' Guild, it's been a long cold deathless 42 strips.
N00bling Thieves' Guild, it feels like years since I've caused pain,
Here comes your death, here comes your death,
and I say it's 'bout time.
N00bling Thieves' Guild, your guts returning to my dagger.
N00bling Thieves' Guild, it seems like years since I've caused pain,
Here comes your death, here comes your death,
and I say it's 'bout time.
Death, Death, Death, here it comes...
Death, Death, Death, here it comes...
Death, Death, Death, here it comes...
Death, Death, Death, here it comes...
Death, Death, Death, here it comes...
N00bling Thieves' Guild, I feel that dagger sinking in your flesh,
N00bling Thieves' Guild, it seems like years since I've caused pain,
Here comes your death, here comes your death,
and I say it's 'bout time,
It's 'bout time.

Oh, and when Elan and Roy jump out of the mountain with the explosion, Indiana Jones theme.

Reviews? You want reviews? Man, you're in contention for winning the thread! Just watch the East German judge who's marking you down a bit there.
For Belkar; Conflict, by Disturbed.
Sampling of lyrics:
" You are, enemy You are my hated enemy I am enemy Number one rated enemy I'm a labelled enemy I am your mortal enemy"
Fits him, eh?

I'd probably set The First Step Is a Doozy (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0443.html) to "The Falls" from Ennio Morricone's soundtrack for The Mission.
The final page of Start of Darkness makes me hear echoes of the instrumental version of Queen's "Who Wants to Live Forever?" overheard at a point in the first Highlander movie.
When Soon stands over Redcloak and Xykon, sharing last words with each other, I hear the plaintiff music played near the end of Six String Samurai -- not the final, flourishing version, but the one that sounds much less certain and fragile.
Events leading up to, "I GOT A FOUR!" cue the theme from The Pink Panther for me, though I hear portions of it for nearly all of the stealthier scenes. The exception would be when Belkar is first stalking Miko in the warehouse: I hear the instrumental introduction of Red Rider's "Lunatic Fringe" for that one. Okay, and I hear the instrumental "Battle Mix" version of Frankie Goes to Hollywood's "Welcome to the Pleasuredome" (as heard on the Toys soundtrack) for Belkar's #611 rampage.

Oh, and when Elan and Roy jump out of the mountain with the explosion, Indiana Jones theme.
That's actually pretty good, but what stuck in my head as Belkar made his Ali-esque triumphant return to major league ass-kicking was "Rogues Do It From Behind" by Level 80 Elite Tauren Chieftain (aka the Blizzard House Metal Band)...
I love to one-shot mages
I live to two-shot priests
When I see ya, I'll PVP ya
Spanking n00bs, that's my favorite cheez
ROGUES... do it in the darkness
ROGUES... do it where the sun don't shine
ROGUES... and with a little drop of poison
Rogues do it from behind
Gonna creep inside your back door.... oh!
I wear Bloodfang leather
Bonescythe and Netherblade
Chop chop the Level 7 warlock
Gonna take him out with Perdition's Blade
ROGUES... do it in the darkness
ROGUES... do it where the sun don't shine
ROGUES... and with a little drop of poison
Rogues do it from behind
Sinister Strike, Eviscerate, Cheap Shot, Backstab
Slice & Dice, Ambush, Rupture, Blind
Sinister Strike, Eviscerate, Cheap Shot, Backstab
Gank you, thank you, now I outrank you!
With dagger, mace, and sword
We are Alliance or the mighty Horde
Not your everyday-type prankster
Call me Ice-T -- original gankster!
You'll never hear me coming
When I creep across the floor
With deadly force -- you're dead, of course
Now I'm gonna camp your corpse!
ROGUES... do it in the darkness
ROGUES... do it where the sun don't shine
ROGUES... and with a little drop of poison
Rogues do it from behind

Hey, come on. Soundtracks for certain scenes from the story are one thing, but let's not clutter this with theme songs. There's a special thread for that that's still perfectly usable. Can't we try to keep everything together?

Last couple of strips (AKA "The Belkar and Scruffy Kick A$$ Show") goes quite nicely to "One-Winged Angel", the Advent Children version.

I have a few songs from final fantasy that trace :miko: quite well
As hooded figure Meanwhile (http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=KqDomDXCroo&feature=related) from Final Fantasy IV
Fall and death Tears in Sorrow (http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=cNGMCwZq2yQ&feature=related) from Final Fantasy IV
More songs for other events.
Elan's training sequence- Eye of the Tiger
traveling on the airship
Airship theme from Final Fantasy IV (http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=sjfeo3Seeb4&feature=related)
Airship theme from Final Fantasy VI (http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=sNix05L--wM)

Huh. I feel honor bound to participate in this, since I force my players to pick theme songs. (I find it does more than an alignment will to keep them true to their character.)
:elan: Dare to be stupid, Weird Al Yankovic
:belkar: Shockdance, Alice Cooper.
Alternately: I, Black Sabbath.
Sadly, these are the easiest for me. Probably because, while I love all of the OotS, lets face it. These two jokers are pretty simple characters compared to the rest. In my opinion at least.

If we ever see the Order come to a big bridge and are forced to fight a minor villian, Clash on the Big bridge (http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=EtdQl6WuFeI&feature=related) would be appropriate
During Elan's speech at Azure City, replace the music in the intro of Yahtzee's review of No more Heroes (http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/zero-punctuation/33-No-More-Heroes) with the music that play during the speech in the movie Braveheart.
The scene at the weapons shop the music from the Cheese Shop sketch in Monty Python's Flying Circus (http://ca.youtube.com/watch?v=B3KBuQHHKx0)
