Comic #555

Okay, I know I'm going to sound like a nutter for pointing this out, but look at the usual part where it displays the comic number, but is blocked out by a speech bubble. It's above the second panel, when the orc shaman is speaking.

It should be comic 555, but that last number doesn't look like a 5 at all! In fact, if I had to venture a guess, it looks like a 3.

Just a detail I wanted to see if anyone else caught.

Odds are about 100% that if you're searching through the archives and notice an error from a while ago....it's already been pointed out. (In this case post #135 of the #555 comic thread...maybe earlier, but that was the first mention I found in my scan)

Upon closer inspection of the pixels, yes it is a 3 and not a 2. You can tell by the 4 pixel spread closest in is a three and there is in fact 6 pixels before the inline on the 2. Since 5 matches the 4 pixel in-line for the number 3, #555 is actually written as #553 behind the bubble.

To allay your fears, I think it has to do with the background image in the last panel of comic #553 being similar to the first panel of #555.
Rich may have simply used #553 as a template to jump start #555 and forgotten to change the number after it was obscured with the word bubble.
