I imagine the first 4 frames as something dark and ominous. until he purees the first rogue, then the record scratches and cuts to "Walking on Sunshine"

Very nice, maybe "I Can See Clearly Now" (the rain is gone)

Let the Bodies Hit the Floor (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sO_QntXc-c4) is perfect for when the rampage begins.

I like to imagine Hall of the Mountain King playing in this scene... in some ways, you could use that as the soundtrack for the whole deal.

Or, start off with some slow, ominous Japanese drumming, then as soon as Belkar begins the rampage, segue into Liberate by Disturbed.

(Maybe it's just me, but so many songs by Disturbed fit the Belkster so well.)

Ballroom Blitz?

What? It's one of my favorite songs, and it fits the occasion.

It's not on You Tube anymore sadly, but Who Killed Tangerine by Tears for Fears springs to mind. Here's the lyrics: http://www.mtv.com/lyrics/tears_for_fears/who_killed_tangerine/13179497/lyrics.jhtml .

Well, Drowning Pool is terrible, so I was thinking something more theatrical, like The Final Countdown- which makes everything violent become hilarious.

I thought the same thing actually, although I'd never heard the proper name before.

Ave Maria.

Though with all the "Go Belkar Go"ing, I have a Belkar variation of the speed racer tune stuck in my head.

Here Comes the Sun, with the lyrics I'm gonna write on the Songs for Belkar thread.

Here it is:

Here comes your death, here comes your death,
and I say it's 'bout time

N00bling Thieves' Guild, it's been a long cold deathless 42 strips.
N00bling Thieves' Guild, it feels like years since I've caused pain,
Here comes your death, here comes your death,
and I say it's 'bout time.

N00bling Thieves' Guild, your guts returning to my dagger.
N00bling Thieves' Guild, it seems like years since I've caused pain,
Here comes your death, here comes your death,
and I say it's 'bout time.

Death, Death, Death, here it comes...
Death, Death, Death, here it comes...
Death, Death, Death, here it comes...
Death, Death, Death, here it comes...
Death, Death, Death, here it comes...

N00bling Thieves' Guild, I feel that dagger sinking in your flesh,
N00bling Thieves' Guild, it seems like years since I've caused pain,
Here comes your death, here comes your death,
and I say it's 'bout time,
It's 'bout time.

Ironman by black sabbath. Nothing says "major keg of whoop ass being opened and you are bout to be annihilated" like the riff.

Raining Blood by Slayer. The creepy little intro plays at the beginning, and then the moment Belkar starts killing the opening riff kicks in. It would be epic.

Yes, it's unfortunate that the song is so bad when it fits so well.
Some better songs that don't fit quite as well, but have a similar feel:

Run to The Hills (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5Snehl2bAk)
Cowboys From Hell (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FV2xVvJddxY)
Raining Blood (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOqVSA5-nys)

More humorously, it could be set to Play With Me (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f8S7MKbYcKQ)

It really depends on what you'd want to portray in that scene. Sure, Slayer and Drowning Pool would be perfect, though overused, for your typical bloodbath. But I don't think that the focus is on the violence of the act here as much as it is on just how much fun Belkar is having. Then, there's also the kissing scene. I couldn't possibly figure metal playing over that. He's back to his old self, he's kicking ass as a sexy shoeless god of war, and he's enjoying it.

And I think that's what Giant wants us to see, and feel; he wants us to enjoy this moment as much as Belkar does. So whichever song is used must give us that feeling of unbridled violence covered in earnest light-hearted fun. To me, that screams Ballad of Bodacious - Primus (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SU5SwI1v-l8).

EDIT: I take all of that back: you want Having a Wonderful Time - Tiny Tim (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=59LQw9bKeJ8) playing in this scene. Trust me.

Try listening to the full song while just staring at frame 1 of page 2. Without blinking. It's wonderful.

Edit: on a similar vein, the Benny Hill theme (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MK6TXMsvgQg) is quite humorous here :D

Sorry to bump the thread, even though it's only been a few days.

I get a very different vibe from either one of those: not so much that of a bloodbath, but a fun song would be out-and-out dissonant (though sometimes you want that). This is Belkar kicking a**, taking names, wooing the girls, and taking a swig of the Elixir of Manliness at the end. This is Belkar as action hero bad ass; I've seen comparisons to James Bond, but Vin Diesel or one of his knockoffs would work just as well if not better, and old 30s pulp heroes might work better than that. (Heck, we might as well drag Chuck Norris into the discussion.)

This is the third time I've suggested the entrance music for the WWE's "Stone Cold" Steve Austin (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GnPFKmFovb8) for this strip. (For ideal effect, the glass shatters when Belkar slices through the first guy in the sixth panel.) One was in the strip's own thread, the other was on my blog ***SHAMELESS PLUG*** which you can access ever-so-easily from my signature. The funny part is that I'm not even sure I completely found the mark with that, and there may be yet a better one to use.

Don't Stop Me Now by Queen

The weapon of choice needs to be a pool cue for that one to work.

One of my first thoughts was Thunderstruck by AC/DC, but that fits a little too well for the mood. My next thought, and I think it works, was Stayin' Alive by the Bee Gees.

That one Dimmu Borgir song for when the carnage starts (i.e Belkar's resurrecton). What's it called... It's not Puritania, that much I know, something with a D... No not Dentata... Eh Dyslexia? I'm gonna look it up.

Oh wait! It was Sympozium!

Edit: Actually ment Puritania. Eh, they both work.
... Maybe if you'd superimpose the tracks into eachother... And throw a Tiny Tim song into the mix.

I was thinking of the PotC music while reading this...

but the benny hell theme is just genius..

I don't think that iron man etc would work to well... it needs to have jollity and a good tempo...

I'm thinking Sabaton - 40:1 (http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=5TOlvtqeLPg) for no good reason... I think it's got the right mood to it... although I'm sure Belkar doesn't know were Poland is...
