Psionics Contest Rules/Entries (Lockown 6/21)

So, here is your contest. It begins now. It will end probably at the end of next month due to its scope. (Specific date TBD). Your topic is psionics. Things are gonna be a bit more loose on this contest, but, please, still follow the
contest guidelines (http://www.giantitp.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=Contests;action=display;num=11247707 71).

The Rules

1) Describe why your campaign world has psionics. Why do these powers exist on this particular world. Do they co-exist with magic, do they surpase magic, do they exist instead of magic, how long have they existed, etc. etc.? If you don't want to create your own mythology surounding psionics, that's fine as well. Just give a brief synopsys on the questions presented above and jump right into the meat of the contest.

2) Pick and choose from the list of categories below. Be as prolific or as focused as you wish to be, but limit yourself to one entry in each category. Also, don't feel that you have to create an entry for EVERY category. An entry with just a couple is as valid as an entry with all but one.

Design a psionic creature (any CR)
Design a psionic feat (or tree of up to 3)
Design a psionic item (any GP value)
Design a psionic power (or set of up to 3)
Design a psionic prestiege class (5 or 10 levels)
Design a psionic race (up to LA +2)

Try to follow the standard templates for the above items as given in the SRD. You can add stories that accompany the entries if you feel them appropriate or think that something beyond a simple text box is required to describe the entry.

3) The subject of your thread will be comprised of the first letter ("PrC" for prestiege class) of each catergory your thread contains.
Examples:
*[Psionics] (ALL) Your Text - would be an entry for every category
[Psionics] (C M R) Your Text - would be an entry that contains only a creature, a mythology, and a race

4) When you create your thread, segment it into its various parts with one post for each category in the Subject line (Mythology and your main ramblings should be contained in your first post). If you want to add another category to your entry at a later date, indicate its location in your first post (such as EDIT: Creature entry on page 2). It is fine for you to have empty space holder posts until you finish your entry in the category.

5) When you feel your entry is complete post a link to it in the entries thread (right here) and include which of the categories you are entering.

I think my entry is as finished as its going to get now, I've left space for a monster, prestige class and power, but having just moved house and trying to sort all my stuff out I don't think I'll have time to finish those off.

I think that my mythology, creature, item (actually a pair of linked items that have value only as a set used together), and power are done. I've left spaces for the other categories, but my creativity seems depleted for the moment. If I can do something before the deadline then I'll enter them too.

Anyway, these are for the campaign setting that I'm working on, and all of the flavor text refers to one of the major NPC adventuring parties which features two psionic characters: Lord Chitt (male human Wilder 7) and Crown Princess Lara Shanehay of Triland (female human Monk 4/Psychic Warrior 4).

Item: Bands of Bond (http://www.giantitp.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=Contests;action=display;num=11497318 70;start=0#3), a wedding gift designed by the princess, these crystalline rings form a connection between the two wearers, allowing them to communicate telepathically, defend each other, and gain strength in the other's presence

Monster: Far Beasts, horrid and very wierd critters limited only by your imagination and my charts!
Feats: A feat chain that improves a character's abilities and manifesting power at the cost of social interaction and understanding.
Items: 1 weapon/armor ability, one wondrous item, and one major artifact.
Powers: Three powers, in ascending order, that channel the Far Realms' power in increasing potency.
PrC: The Emissary of the Beyond, a transformative PrC that focuses on becoming more like the Far Beasts it worships.
Race: Fartouched - the unfortunate survivors of prenatal attacks by Far Realms creatures on their mothers, leaving them mutated and deformed at birth.

Mythology: Great Minds Will Not Be Denied (http://www.giantitp.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=Contests;action=display;num=11508276 19)... when a skilled mind lacks the innate ability to touch the weave of magic, where will it turn?
Prestige Class: Isolate Mind, a way for a disempowered spellcaster to regain some power.
Race: Crystal Gnomes, long isolated from their kin and from the magical weave.

And, Mythology: The Awakening (http://www.giantitp.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=Contests;action=display;num=11501178 39;start=0#2). Psionic abilities have long bewildered mages who studied monsters with such powers, but now they're coming to appear among humanoids as well.
Item: Soul Hilt, a way for novice soulknives to learn to channel their power.
Creature: Quirius, the mobile curiosity of a psionically-active child.
