Okay, this thread is entirely inspired by this one (http://paizo.com/paizo/messageboards/paizoPublishing/pathfinder/pathfinderRPG/design/prestigeClasses/prestigeClassesADifferentApproachOverall&page=1#853895) over on the Paizo forums. Essentially, what I'm looking for are some people interested in homebrewing new versions of the DMG Prestige Classes utilizing the restrictions and general intent described in this fellow's post. Roll those sleeves up, playgrounders, your collective genius hasn't disappointed me yet!

Do (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=57794) these (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62659) count (http://www.giantitp.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69427)?

Not really; did you read the relevant post on Paizo? This is supposed to be a part of a different mechanic for PrCs altogether, not a request for a homebrew fix of the PrCs as they are.

The idea is that, due to prerequisites for gaining each level of the PrC (not just the first) combined with the restriction that you can only ever have one PrC per character and the reduction of them each down to about 3-5 levels, you take the PrC gradually, rather than qualifying, then taking it all at once. Kind of similar in a way to the bloodlines of Unearthed Arcana.

The idea is that you can use this to give each level of a PRC LOT of power increase, because you've already taken all the abuse out of the system. Well, in theory anyway.

Edit: Which isn't to say that those aren't awesome in their own right! Your EK was fantastic, though I've no idea of its balance, as I've never used, though like the concept of, ToB.

Ah, I see. I didn't skim it well enough then.
