I need mondo help trying to carry a 25000 lb rock with me! :smallsigh:

The idea is I need a 25000lb rock to attack in a polymorphed form, which stacks with my hulking hurler levels.

Out of battle I am a 6th level caster with 10 strength.

Anyway, I was thinkig scrolls of polymorph any object would do the trick. I could cast this on a small rock with returning, then have a uge rock with returning.

Does that work?

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Is summoning an item an option?

I know there's a summon instrument,
is there a summon weapon spell?

are there any spells that could help me?

I seem to recall Shrink Item being good.

Shrink object, but I don't think you can manage an object of that size quiet yet.

what book is shrink object in?

I think there's a sizing enchant on weapons in the complete archane...

I'l go check that out.

Shrink Item (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/shrinkItem.htm)
max volume of 2 cubic feet / level

so very dense non-magical object is your desired target.

I think neutronium boulders or chunks of brown dwarf stars are the current rage...

Me, I prefer elemental sodium harpoons with the flesh grinding enchantment.

Well 40 cubic feet of adamantium is quite a chunk. And when reduced it's only 2.5 cubic feet (if I did my math right).

it's also quite expensive, rock has the virtue of being free, adamantine metals eat into WBL

Ok, I used the following pages for information:

Density values for materials (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Density#Densities_of_various_materials)
Lead: 11340kg/m3
Uranium: 19100kg/m3
Iridium: 22500kg/m3

Conversion of units (http://www.onlineconversion.com/density_all.htm)

converter chosen: Kg/m3 to Lb/cubic foot

additional maths:
converter output *12 (Caster Level 6)
25000/converter output (CL required to affect desired weight)

Total weight affectable by 1 casting of shrink item at CL6
Lead: 8495Lbs
Uranium: 14308Lbs
Iridium: 16855Lbs

CL needed to affect 25000Lb using shrink item
Lead: L36
Uranium: 21
Iridium: 18

Hmm. If you can get a +2 weapon, masterwork that rock, and make it +1, called.

The Called enhancement lets you call it from anywhere on the plane, provided another creature hasn't wielded it in the meanwhile.

And there aren't many that can "wield" a 25,000 pound rock.

Total cost: 8,300 g.

A cylindrical rock that will slot into a Portable Hole?

Polymorph any Object works, but the problem is getting it back to the original form again.

This. So very, very much this.
