[CP 2020] Is the Firestorm series any good?

I am considering buying the Firestorm series for CP 2020. Do any of you have any experience with the books? Played them and liked/disliked them? Is it possible to tie things together despite that the last book was nevr published?

I've got both books, and while I haven't played them, I find they're worth it just for the amount of material in them - new rules for vehicles, scuba and underwater action, etc. - and the wealth of ideas in them. The conclusion of the whole thing sucks pretty hard - PCs get to play second fiddle to terminally annoying "canon" heroes like Johnny Silverhand (what group hasn't already killed him, anyway?), but other than that, the "adventures" are solid. Of course, many players won't like ACPA, combat borgs, tanks, and military units actually featuring in the game directly.
