We were playing this past weekend and the following questions got asked:

1) Can opponents pass through a square that has a spiritual weapon in it?

2) If a caster has the feat planar familiar and has a lantern archon, does the caster level of the archon increase as the master increases in level? The same for a caster with celestial familiar and a coure eladrin.

Yes, I believe it says so in the discription of SW that it DOESN'T occupy space. Thus you can pass through it. It also doesn't get to claim AoOs.

Shouldn't. Familiars typically don't have CLs of their own. Check the wording on Planar Familar. If it does at all, it would be there. Otherwise it wouldn't.

Nothing in the RAW says that a Spritual Weapon has a move speed, and as it doesn't have a move speed you wouldn't foreseeably need to keep track of it on the grid, as it would just fly up and hit anybody the caster wanted that is within range.

It strikes as a spell, not as a weapon, so, for example, it can damage creatures that have damage reduction... It does not get a flanking bonus or help a combatant get one.

The RAW suggests it is simply a spell acting within these parameters, so it is not able to do special attacks like Bull Rushing or Attacks of Opportunity.

Each round after the first, you can use a move action to redirect the weapon to a new target. If you do not, the weapon continues to attack the previous round’s target. On any round that the weapon switches targets, it gets one attack. Subsequent rounds of attacking that target allow the weapon to make multiple attacks if your base attack bonus would allow it to.
There's also nothing about repositioning, so even if an opponent moves the spiritual weapons gets a full attack from him the next round.

So, all in all, I'd have to say you can run through a spiritual weapon, but it doesn't matter. It would just keep pace with you and continue smacking you so long as you were within the spell's range.
