Paladin-fall thread: Old and boring, but makes sense.
Druid-fall thread: Interesting and amusing, full of win.
Fighter-fall thread: -.- ...Okay, now it's just getting stupid.

Now, monks on the other hand- they change alignment- they don't so much Fall as cease to be able to advance as monks, but close enough.

How's a monk fall? Decide the fate of the world on the toss of a coin would be a possibility.

Be a Samurai. Watch him ROTFLOL.

Actually, he would ROFLCOPTER. And then fall from a great height after stopping.

A good parody resembles too closely what it is parodying, insofarasmuch it becomes what it is trying to parody.

Actually, not being able to advance as a monk is usually a huge improvement.

So, is anyone going to do a Best Way to Make a Water Fall thread?

Move Earth and Raise Water?

You forgot the Knight fall one.

I was actually considering it.

If you managed to make a Monk non-Lawful whilst he's using his Slow Fall ability, then he'd Fall in two ways at once.

I, personally, can't wait until how to make Wonder Fall(s) comes up.

Shame Fox canceled it, really.

Drop a Helm of Opposite Alignment on him! Since he's using Slow Fall, it'll fall faster than him, thus hitting him. It requires good aim, though.

Grease. Can't believe I was the first.Grease is actually much better than Improved Trip, as Fighters generally have good Str, but poor reflex saves and balance checks.

First, convince the player that the way he's running his fighter fits better with a paladin instead. Offer to let him/her retrain fighter levels to paladin levels. Pretend to be kind and understanding and acknowledge that the Paladin Code needs work. When the poor schmuck agrees, the next plot hook is "This child is fated to grow up as an Evil Overlord." Bam, fallen fighter... sorta.

You forgot the Knight fall one.

He defaults on land-leases and his liege escheats him!

(Be sure to make History your major guys, I promise that was just a preview of the NONSTOP HILARITY.)

Dude, Batman discussions go in Media Discussions.

@Piedmon: Mine's better!

Also, in case anybody missed it:

We're tired of threads about making paladins fall. Grown-up DMs work with their players, and don't try to antagonize them. We certainly don't need more than 1 thread every 2 months about it.

Thank you.

Pretty sure this isn't one.

This is just a humorous thread mainly involving puns. (I support a well-hidden pit trap, by the way.)

Also, this won't stop them; they're generally started by newbies, who haven't seen how often they occur yet, so anyone starting a new pallyfall thread won't be likely to have seen your imperative.

I was trying to translate the intent of the thread.

I actually think I was rather successful.

Well, it is a fighter we're talking about; doesn't need to be too hard to make him miss it. DC 10 or so? =p

Hence the "In case anyone missed it" line, of course. My apologize for coming off terse, I'd just gotten off a rather...unpleasant phone call.

So, the best way to make a monk "fall" is to do nothing to them at all?

I think he meant to say you can't fall anymore when you're already at the bottom.

Fighter falling, acording to what we see around the forums:
-You picked your feats in a nonrandom way? YOU FALL!
-You picked skills? YOU FALL!
-You use tactics superior to those of a mindless zombie? YOU FALL!
-You defeated an oponent? YOU FALL!

No, you're thinking of the CW samurai. Fighter can do all that if the wizard helps out, but the samurai is just screwed no matter what.

You mean-gasp- that I'm allowed to optimize my fighter whitout the DM making all monsters anti melee while lowering their magic defenses?

Yes, but only if you let the wizard buff you before combat.

You are actually useful in a party, without letting the full casters hog all the spotlight?
YOU FALL.
