Strip #613 has shadows in it!!! Celia has a strip of light shining on her through the door, so the rest of her is in shadow! Does this herald the return of the Shadow Dancer from the Inn?

No, probably not.

well, depending on his lvl the shadow dancer could jump to anywhere. the crazy high lvl ones could jump to the other side of the planet.

So the Shadow Dancer is in Anywhere? Did he and the Dwarf decide it was too hard to assassinate the King of Nowhere and decide on an alternative?

Well, since they wanted to prevent the king of Nowhere from meeting with the king of Somewhere (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0229.html), I'd assume they were sent by the king of Anywhere. So that'd be why he's over there.

that would be hilarious if he suddenly jumped out of a shadow somewhere.

"Well it's not like there are that many to choose from!"

And jumps back away.

He comes back to visit his Arcane Trickster brother Chuck, finds him dead, and assumes he was killed by Bozzok or Crystal and wins the fight.

I'm curious, if a shadow dancer jumps into a shadow and doesn't have an available 'exit' what happens?

Why would he be in Over There? :smalleek:

Why would he be in Over There? :smalleek:He's an assassin, working for radical ultra left-wing. Over There is a monarchy. Go figure.

I believe it's instantaneous so if there is no other shadow he can't slip into the shadow in the first place. Sort of like the portal gun.

[quotewell, depending on his lvl the shadow dancer could jump to anywhere. the crazy high lvl ones could jump to the other side of the planet.[/quote]Only if it's a really small planet. Their range maxes out at 160 feet (http://www.d20srd.org/srd/prestigeClasses/shadowdancer.htm).

And the Shadowdancer was last seen in the Throne room of Nowhere (http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0535.html), so he presumably got out of the inn-explosion shadow.

That's a flashback. I really like the idea of black_emerald though.

But it's only a flashback to when the city was overtaken by Xykon... 'WAY after the Inn had it's unscheduled redecoration. :D

What? I thought it was a theocracy. Or am I thinking of some other place?

Well, Someplace Else is a democracy. Anywhere, Nowhere, and Somewhere are all monarchies. I'm not sure about Over There, since I cant find the comic that referenced it... if there was one...

Also, Some Other Place and Someplace Else aren't the same.

Also, Mr M.: Right. Sorry :)

That's a flashback. I really like the idea of black_emerald though.Except that in that scene, they're giving up on the assassination, implying that it must be after the attempt at the inn.
