I've been reading a comic on another site recently that used a very strange spell. I wondered what it was so I decided to come and ask the Homebrew forum about it.

If it isn't a real effect I would love opinions on how you could make it.

The spell is a random effect from a Shield of Wonder. It manifests as blue razor sharp walls that pop out of the ground and kill people in horrible horrible ways. The character using it mentions that it takes a Reflex save to not get cut in half. The effect seems to activate every couple rounds after the initial casting. The pattern of walls becomes increasingly complex and larger.

First activation is Here (http://www.goblinscomic.com/d/20081115.html)
Activates again after another round Here (http://www.goblinscomic.com/d/20081123.html)
He mentions the Reflex saves Here (http://www.goblinscomic.com/d/20081129.html)
And Again after another round Here (http://www.goblinscomic.com/d/20081208.html)
The most recent activation Here (http://www.goblinscomic.com/) kills a Soulspike devourer.

So is there a Spell that does something along these lines?

The speculation on the forums is that the walls aren't actually related to the shield of wonder...

Really? It first manifested after they struck the shield though.

EDIT: Goblins has forums?

The thought is that since all the other shield of wonder effects have been positive for the GAP so far, while the walls keep almost killing Complains, and it's been a continuous effect even though it was seemingly first triggered by a blow to the shield, it may in fact have been cast by an unseen caster in such a way that it appeared to be triggered by the shield.

That being said, no, it isn't any normal spell effect, at least not to my knowledge.
