Default Re: Arrow Variations: Any exist?

I am bored so I came up with an Artifact Arrow capable of destroying a city. Very OP. Use at your own risk.

    Arrow of Planar Tearing

This arrow opens a rift with a randomly selected Plane (outer or inner) as it travels through the air. The rift is as long as the arrow's flight path. If the DM roles the same plane as the archer, the rift connects to a different location on the same plane. This rift will close itself at the next full moon or can be closed by a strong spell caster. A spell caster can close the rift by casting a PLANE SHIFT spell and passing a DC 25 roll. Failure means the spell is wasted and another spell must be cast.

This unique and apparently indestructible arrow was create by the mad sorcerer Olbaraith over 1000 years ago. The arrow killed Olbaraith when he was sucked into a 100 yard rift with the Quasi Elemental Plane of Vacuum on the arrow's first use. Since then, several wizards have unsuccessfully tried to control this arrow. Thsee attempts almost always end in large scale death and destruction. For Example: the necromancer Elvira attempted to use the arrow to open a large portal with the Negative Plane. However, she instead opened a long rift with the Elemental Plane of Fire which covered her castle in a thick layer of lava and released a large number of Fire Elementals on the region.

This arrow is now protected by a small order of Lawful Paladins who have it hidden in a secret monastery on a mysterious island somewhere far from shore.
