I have been having success with myfitnesspal. I use it to track what I eat to try and keep it under my calorie budget. It's also compatible with a plethora of apps so I can log my workouts in mapmyrun and have them show up on myfitnesspal. Best of all, the free version has everything I want.
My basic nutrition plan is keeping to an 1800 calorie a day budget most of the time with one or two cheater days per week where I eat what I want. I find just logging what I eat (and being brutally honest with myself) helps me lose weight.
Well good for you then. If it helps you lose weight and eat the right type of healthy foods then keep using it then.
