Number of Character Appearances (Improved!)

Wrecan, I've been working on this for the last couple of days, and I think it's ready for initial posting. This post will contain the Character Appearances for Start of Darkness.

Now, in fairness, I know that it's only been out for a couple of days, therefore I'm going to put this inside two sets of spoiler sections. Inside the first spoiler section will be a simple listing of the number of times each character appears. Inside the nested spoiler section will detail the fate of each of those characters, if we know it.

I figure that last piece of info is doubly spoily, hence the double spoiler bars. I also fully realize that you may not want to update your list until you actually get to read the book (or when you feel enough others have read the book). And I can't say that I blame you. Especially since there are some hard core spoilers in the book. That is the other reason why I am spoilerizing this post. That way you can ignore this post and look at whenever you feel like updating the list for the events of Start of Darkness. Heck, you could even wait six or seven months before deciding to update the list. I figure this post ain't going anywhere.

I've gone through the list several times to proof it, so I'm fairly certain it's accurate. However, at over 110 pages, there is plenty of room for error. If anyone spots an error in my listing here, please correct it. It would be much appreciated.

Finally, a couple of notes. In cases where Unnamed People showed up more than once, I went ahead and tried to make as unique description of them as possible (taking the nod from the Throne Room Battle). However, if you feel it would be too messy and unwieldy to include them in the list, feel free to nuke them. I wouldn't blame you if you didn't want them around, but I only included them for completeness sakes. Also, some characters are Unnamed, but it is obvious who they are. In those cases, I listed them by their obvious name/description.

The other note is that I did not include "interesting alterations" of characters. There were simply too many of them, over too long of a time span, for me to want to do that. If someone else wants to try and tackle that job, feel free. But I ain't gonna be the one.

I broke these down into somewhat manageable groups for ease of reading. I realize some of the groupings are arbitrary, but, it was the best I could figure out at the time.

I did not count the "appearance" by Miko, when she wrote the Introduction, nor did I count Redcloak's "appearance" on the title page of the book. I did, however, count the appearance of the Demon Roaches and the CitD on the last page of the book, just like you counted Thog's apperance in Origins. [Basically I just followed your example from On Origins of the PCs ]

It could also apply to the Original Bearer of the Crimson Mantle, and any future person killed by a Random Paladin. Or you could just use the ^U designator. I'm just throwing out suggestions here.
