I recently used this music for a fight with an Ultraloth who rode a Purple Worm. The fight was appropriately slow and annoying.

Man I'd forgotten just how awesome the Xenogears soundtrack is; you could just put it on random and you'd have a pretty good chance of getting something awesome and fitting for whatever you need.

Oh and I just found this remix of the final boss themes from FF IV and Chrono Trigger, they fit together really well.

Anything from a decent RPG videogame. Even some platform games would work. Just don't play the Bowser fight music, or your player will think you are nuts

Edit: And Bach. Bach's Fuges rock for BBEG fight sequences

    No SRW yet?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZsTvThYgfwQ
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kcoAmfRbYd0

Note: as expected from SRW, these tracks work only from the moment when the heroes feel that they're going to kick the BBEG's ass. When does this moment happen varies from hero to hero, depending on their determination and emo-ness (or lack thereof).

I think it depends on the kind of BBEG and the kind of encounter.

For example, if the thing is going to be an straight-up fight to the death with a rather direct BBEG, something like Nuclear Fusion might very well work to give a sense of danger but still get the players in the mood of "time to kick some ass!".

On the other hand, if the idea is to give some sense of foreboding, things like the aforementioned Dancing Mad, some of the Org. XIII battle musics (this one linked at random), or stuff like the ever-classic Dark Omen from Chrono Trigger can be better.

Heh, I thought you meant this Nuclear Fusion when I clicked the link. Which is a great battle theme but not really for a BBEG.
