Detritus sighs and looks at Rutskarn. Who are you working for? And why do they want bone marrow? My friend doesn't like dealings with anybody to evil...

"Okay, for one thing, 'working for' is a bit of a stretch. He's freelance.

"For another, well, it's not really 'evil' per se. It's pretty tame, once you get past the whole bone marrow part, and, well, that's just scavenging, isn't it? Nothing wrong with scavenging."

Rutskarn grins hopefully.

"Seriously, relax. It's all on the level. Just a little, you know. Disgusting."

El looks shocked. "I swear I didn't spike your drink, or pay anybody too."

Erin grins, then checks her watch, eeps, and Folds out just in time to avoid a falling deadtime ooze.

Terry sits down, and sips more radioactive drinks. Its deadlicious! "Sooooo Avatar, are you insane? Cause insane people are interesting..."

"Yes!" Avatar exclaims, full of way too much happy. Then she pauses. "Eerr... well... No. Not so much found as confirmed. I've know him for about a year now. We've been getting to know one another really well- eep!"

The eep would be Avatar leaping away from the dead-time ooze that suddenly drops onto BR. "Eeew..."

Then she glances back at the apparently drunken vampire. "Eerr... Sort of? not really? I'm really genre savvy and a bit spacy. Most people take that for being insane."

So it eats the bone marrow. What... Detritus sighs. I'll let Menthos deal with it. He's the one you want. I think he's... Detritus looks around the room, then points. In a corner, a man in a black trenchcoat sits, writing something on a clipboard. ...Right over there.

Terry grins. "Well, thats nice. Do you think I'm insane? I'll only maim the person dripping deadtime ooze if you say yes. Then again, deadtime ooze is nasty. I'd rather not. So I'll maime the table!"

El grins. "Mmmmmmmmmmkay. Besides Ally, sugar is good for you! So remember, only you can't prevent forest fires!" After El's insanity, she glomps Alexis. And attracts stares. She's good at that.

Beaming, Rutskarn gives a comradely wink at Detritus before striding over to the corner.

"So, friend, word on the highway's you got needs. You got the need...for space. A nice little place to call your own, for all your mercantile needs. Somewhere you can be found, and people will find you, make no mistake. Just so happens, I got such a place, and I'm willing to let it out to you for 25 bones a week, any size. Whaddya say? We have a deal?"

Runner undeadtimes in his normal mode, scanning everybody as usual.

Terry is afforded with an eyebrow quirk. "You seem less insane and more silly. And you seem to fall into non-sequitur pretty often. So... I guess that makes you a talkative loon instead."

She smiles pleasantly.

El laughs. "In being my friend silly!"

"I plan to sell them to someone who uses the marrow to make wax sculptures."

This may or may not be an honest answer.

Not-DC reappears, solidified, behind DC. He promptly grabs him by the throat from behind, lifting him into the air.

You... You destroyed everything...

With that, he starts choking DC, but if you look closely, you'll see that he's choking too. Ah, psychic powers, how I love exploiting them.

Violence? No no no. That just can't happen. Runner attempts to grab Not-DC to pull him off DC. Why are you doing this? he asks.

Calublufiok walks into the tavern and quickly takes note of DC and Not-DC killing each other. He smiles and goes sits down in a corner to watch.

Terry starts taking bets on who would win. "Ten on the burnt guy? Oh, twenty on DC? Oooooh, fifty for em both to die!"

Runner is unsuccessful at grabbing Not-DC because he incorporealizes to avoid that. This does mean that neither of them are being choked now, though. He re-solidifies at another spot. The two look at Calublufiok, then each other.

I think he takes priority, don't you?

Not like you can do anything to him.

Vespe appears, thoughtfully contemplating the battle. Hmmm...devil you know, or don't interfere?

Detritus looks at the DC's and casually gets up, taking out a laser rifle. He fires a shot at Not-DC. If it hits, it should knock him out. He's a really good shot.
