dragonmark aesthestics (DND 3.5, eberron)
When a character gets another dragonmark (lesser, greater), does the previous dragonmark expand, or does he get a whole new one?

I personally believe it is not so abrupt. It grows slowly, as you rely on it. If you look at them they are simply more complex versions of the last.

From the looks of the art in the books, the previous mark simply grows. It's a gradual thing, methinks. I think this is supported by the description of the Heir of Siberys PrC. The mark begins manifesting at level 1, but it's only at a usable stage at level 2.
