Why is Qarr green ?

Qarr is green because he is "covered with a shimmering emerald field".

Why is Qarr green ?

Because in Panel #3, Vaarsuvius casts Dimensional Anchor on him, a spell that prevents teleportation (and puts a "shimmering green field" around the subject.) The Giant is obviously showing this by making Qarr green thereafter, so we know he can't teleport.

I wonder what V's been doing about food? I'm guessing that fishing wouldn't be that preductive unless V has a boat or something which would allow him/her to said out from the island. Whether V feels there's even time to cook things properly is debatable as well.
