    Default Monsters that drain intelligence?

There must be some, but I can't think of any. Can anyone help?

I'm not looking for something like the vargouille (sp?) - that only drains as part of a transformation. I'm looking for something more like an allip.

Also, any opinions on an alternate allip that drained int instead of wis? Overpowered, or ok?

    Don't mindflayers do this?

Phthisics, found in the XPH (and also the SRD) do Intelligence damage. Where there's one, I'd be surprised to learn there aren't others, but you never know.

Dream Vestiges from Libris Mortis: The Book of Bad Latin can do 1d4 int damage with a touch. Its a 17 HD undead though, CR16.

I think Ghosts have an ability that allows them to drain 1d4 points of their choice on a touch.

There are plenty in the Expanded Psionics handbook that do this.

A few you should look for are:

    The Intellect Devourer
    The Thought Eater

If you don't have the book or can't get the info... homebrew I guess?

I don't know a lot about Allips, but it shouldn't be bad to change the type of ability it drains.
