This place is just as it sounds. It's outside.
Want a change of scenery? Go outside.
Always wanted to visit the beach? Come outside.
Looking to have a climatic fight on clifftops? Attempt outside.
Secret meetings being held where there's no cameras? Try outside.
Want an ambush without nasty base defenses? Yep. Outside.

Any and all are welcome here. There are no NPCs unless you bring them in. The exception is the creepy eyed squirrel. The creepy eyed squirrel does not interfere with anyone. The creepy eyed squirrel is everywhere outside. The creepy eyed squirrel is always watching. The creepy eyed squirrel never sleeps. The creepy eyed squirrel can not be damaged, manipulated, or killed by anyone. The creepy eyed squirrel will eat anyone's very being who attempts to do so. Anyone can god-mode the creepy eyed squirrel. You may pet the creepy eyed squirrel at your own risk.

There is very little you can't do outside. However, like always, please follow the forum rules and general rules of conduct. Private conversations can be held outside. If it seems like a private (secret) conversation, please respect that. Those having such a conversation should do their best to indicate it as such. Otherwise, other characters may stumble upon you. Those desiring to spy in on private conversations should first PM those holding the private conversation, more out of courtesy than anything else.

There are many areas outside, and people can be in multiple places outside. In order to keep areas outside separated so there's no confusion, consider bolding your outside location at the start of each of your posts, like so:

The Fields

Reinholdt sets up various targets and practices his sharpshooting. All these events recently has made him a bit rusty. To his left, he notes the creepy eyed squirrel. Giving him the heebie-jeebies, Reinholdt decides to head somewhere else.

The Cliffside

Calublufiok broods over his latest scheme as he flies over the cliffs. The creepy eyed squirrel is watching him again. He finds occasionally landing and telling the creepy eyed squirrel his plans helps him find holes in his plotting.

Note Reinholdt and Calublufiok do not interact because they are in different areas outside. They could interact, if Reinholdt moves to the cliffside. Of course, various things like telepathy help bypass this. Also, please note outside has no buildings. Buildings have their own threads.

And most importantly, enjoy outside. That's what this is all about.

The Skies

Calublufiok soars through the low cloud, mist crystallizing on his face, yet barely even felt despite the freezing temperatures. Dropping lower, he starts scanning the ground for something or someone. Ever persistent, he keeps his head down even as he tilts to glide into the small air thermal and rises a bit. Not too many around due to the cold. But hopefully this white winter will make it easier to find what he is looking for.

Buried under about 12 feet of snow, a wagon rests in the middle of a field.
Inside the wagon, a man writes in a journel.
Day Twelve?
Its been a few days since I got caught in this blizzard.
I'm worried about how much longer I can last. I ate the last of the horse two days.
Thing had gone and died, so that was the only thing to do.
Stupid chest still won't open, not that it matters.
The fire won't last too much longer, and when the fire dieds, I'll soon follow it.

Once again, the man inside the wagon is writing in his journel.
Day 13?
Hungry, cold.
Had to break up bed to keep fire going.
Too cold to write much more.
Hope for rescuse soon.

In the wagon, the man struggles with the chest one more time.
"I'll going to open this chest and see what's in here if its the last thing I do!"
Using all of his fading strenght, he manages to open the chest a crack.
Then, a blinding explosion fills the wagon, throwing the man into the wagon wall,
and creating a crater on the top of the 20 feet of snow covering the wagon.

Field
One of Calublufiok's plot clones happens to be flying overhead. Granted the wind makes it difficult, but he's rather experienced and the cold doesn't bother him. A rather large boom and crater forming in the snow is sure to catch his attention. Veering downwards, he lands on the outside of the crater and takes a look inside.

There is a 10 foot crater at the top of huge amount of snow.
The source of the cracter appears to have come from underneath the snow.

Calublufiok's curiosity is not satisfied. So he will conjure up various fire producing spells to cause large quantities of snow to melt in the crater. Then get bored with that and literally just magically displace the snow somewhere else.

Under about twenty feet of snow, there is a wagon. It looks like everything but the bare mininum to still keep the snow was taken off. The door is hanging on one hinge.

Cal doesn't hesitate. He hops down, walks up to the door of the wagon, and peers inside, hoping to find what caused that delicious explosion.

Inside the wagon, there a chest, a blacken spot where a fire was, and a man out cold against the wall of the wagon opposite of the chest. The man has a book against his head. Something about the man and the book should seem a little unappealing to Cal.

[Reinholdt]

"Hmm." Cal steps inside. "Either the book or the chest caused this no doubt." He looks back and forth between the two, then shrugs. "Best take them both then." Ignoring the man completely, he attempts to use magic to levitate the chest and book and bring them outside.

[ThePhantom]

The chest comes easily, the book is a different matter.
The front of the book glows for a moment, then shoots a thin beam of postive energy at Cal.
((postive or radiant energy, which either one works for you.
However, since Cal is a Lich, and thus, undead, this should hurt.))

[Reinholdt]

And it does, especially since he didn't see it coming and couldn't get out of the way in time. Cal is blasted back out of the wagon and into the snow with an "Oof!" for dramatic effect. Eyes narrowing, he gets back up, and returns to the wagon. Once again magically grabbing the chest he tries to take it out of the wagon. If he succeeds, he'll then turn around and sets the wagon on fire. Best way to get rid of nasty, positive energy books.

The wagon burns, and it looks like everything within burns as well.

"Huh. Guess he really was dead. Would have come out screaming by now if he wasn't." Calublufiok shrugs and flies off with the chest.

After the flames die down, the ashs of the book and the remains of the man, glow and start reforming back into their orignal state before the fire.
((postive is healing, and I have been planing this from the begining of this character.))

The book and the man are restored, and the man regains consciousness.
"Oh, my head. Well, it looks like I have a chance to get out of this blizzard."
The man starts walking, reguardless of the direction. Unknown to him, the book has moved itself into his pocket.

A wild elf walks through the snow, muttering to himself.

Demon things, Santa, what's next? A mad squirrel?

Looks up, sees the creepy squirrel.

Great, just great. Is anyone out here?

Calublufiok flies after DarkComet as he finishes the spell to mentally contact Alek. "Hello Alek. Just thought I'd let you know DarkComet is here and he wants to meet you for some hot loving."

Since they're away from holiday land, DC is now carrying the ion cannon. He fires a blast at Calublufiok.

I don't think he is, really. That's not very nice.

Calublufiok whooshes to one side. "Come on now, boy. I've been flying before your grandmother was even born. And is that any way to treat someone just here to help?"

"Oh no. He said he'd very much like to meet you right now."

DC pulls out the lightning gun (you know how it looks by now) and fires a bolt of electricity at Calublufiok.
