Playing El Kabong?
Well, I got bored for about 5 seconds and wondered if playing a Bard/Paladin with the Devoted Performer feat would play like El Kabong?

Re: Playing El Kabong?
Really, a Bard/Drunken Master is the best way to build El Kabong. You've got to be able to use your instrument as a weapon or El Kabong just won't work. Improvised Weapon Proficiency is the best way to accomplish that, I think.
Current Games:
SpoilerGMing The Lotus Blossoms! [Exalted 3E] (OOC)
Playing Waldaharjaz in The Convergence of Sky [Exalted 3E]
Playing Rivers in Welcome to Thorns [Exalted 3E]

Re: Playing El Kabong?
I would have thought that smiting would be needed.

Re: Playing El Kabong?
This thought actually occurred to me before as a viable option. Summon instrument is a 0 level spell. So now you have an expendable improvised weapon that you can use even if captured. Not a main weapon, but still a good tactic to have in your tool belt. Maybe an improvised weapon master or some other prestige can push it further.
On a loosely related note I had a rogue that kept a couple scrolls of summon instrument b/c I immediately saw the versatility. I tried to block an arrow slit with a clarinet but I failed my UMD check to summon it.
