Well, I don't have any information that will help you except to say you should check out the Play-By-Post Roleplaying forums right here at GiantITP.

Also, you really don't need to bump a thread after only 13 minutes on these boards. Just give it a few hours and probably a few people will come along to help you out. Seriously.

Well, I don't know where on these forums Fixer's game specifically is located, but generally speaking, the sub-forum for player/gamemaster recruitment is here, and the play-by-post forum is here.
You can find both in the main forum index if you just scroll down a bit.

At the bottom of the Forums page is the Play by Post section of these boards. You can look for games, recruit players into your games, or just goof around on the Silly Message Board Games.

Otherwise try http://www.rpol.net Free service, meet players from around the world, all types of games supported. Play by Post takes a bit of getting used to, but I played for several years before too many moves led me to dropping out.

Have you been to your local gaming store? You're in Dallas, TX, one of the larger cities in the U.S. Surely there are other gamers out there. Use the store bulletin board, hang out and hand out business cards, wear a tshirt with the words, "DM seeking Players." Some of the game stores in Colorado Springs had gamer tables in the store itself. Great way for store owners to increase their impulse buys, as well as soda and snack sales.

If ALL that fails, and you can't get a game going, I don't know. Get married, have kids, teach them the game.
