I say you give him another 24 hours, and then if he hasn't posted, skip his turn. If the other players agree.
Sort of like if you forget to send in your night actions in werewolf, you lose them. The game must go on.My avatar! Isn't it just utterly diabolical? Ashen Lilies made it!

Re: Insanowar 2: Electric Boogaloo
An orange rip in reality appears outside NS's base. Curly Brace comes rocketing out, Nemesis at the ready. "Woohooo!" she shouts, firing off a couple shots from her Nemesis… and then pauses. "Crud, where'd everyone go – GAH!" she shouts, as laser fire rains from the base. Activating the booster, she flies back through the portal, which closes.
"I'm bored," grumbles the Joker, as he tinkers idly with some explosives.
"Good, we need your help," says Curly, dashing in. "You got some bombs?"
"Oh do I ever!" shouts the Joker, grinning maniacally. "I've got –"
"Yeah yeah whatever. Grab some and come on."
And the orange rip in reality reappears, right where it started. A small black spheroid rockets out, having dropped through an infinite succession of portals moments before. It slams into the first thing it hits and explodes, filling a twenty foot radius with fire and shrapnel.
And the portal closes once more, ready to explode things at a moment's notice…

Re: Insanowar 2: Electric Boogaloo
Actually you asked if you were the one that could finish it. Turn ahoy!
The engineer was leaning against the end of the corridor. He was probably grinning cheekily inside his helmet.
Durge. He nodded.
MANDALORIAN! Durge yelled, charging up the minigun and flinging his arm down the corridor. The trooper quickly disappeared inside the door at the end of the corridor, with Durge right behind him. The clone trooper was at the other side of the room, detonating the three detpacks around the entrance to the room, blasting Durge backwards out of the room, knocking his finger off of the trigger. A few green orbs rolled out next to Durge, and started spewing an incredibly acidic gas into the area around him. A few grenade darts thudded into him, blowing him back into the gas as he tried to escape it. He came out of the gas finally in a horrible state. His flesh was rippling and reforming. He staggered into the room, searching for the clone trooperr that had by now disappeared, when 20 waddle dees wandered up to him. He pulled out a blaster pistol, and shot a few, which exploded. Violently. There was a massive chain reaction as the others all exploded as well. The explosion blew Durge out of the room once more. As he staggered to his feet again a yellow and silver blur shot into him, knocking him 10 metres down the hall and out of the base, following close behind, knocking him away again, the minigun being knocked away in the process. Durge got to his feet, his flesh having all but recovered from the acid. He let out a huge roar.
Come out and face me!
Tails appeared out of nowhere, 5 metres in front of Durge. He's moving at least as fast as sonic was, probably more, he flys about the same speed, and is incredibly strong. Ilse witch did some seriously good work.
Indy is sitting tight, and the orchestra has reached the base and is knocking politely on the door. A rare occurance in Insanowar to be sure. Someone knocking? Why not just barge in? Or better yet, use explosives to destroy the door? Only time will tell.
Casualties:
Spoiler
20 bobombs.
20 waddle dees.

Re: Insanowar 2: Electric Boogaloo
Meanwhile
The Redeemer stomped past the Soulwell, exiting on the path to NS's base. There's a flash, and Darth Vader now stands atop the Redeemer thanks to its new Recall capabilities.
The Redeemer charged up the Rage Generator, and Vader poured his own energies into it.
"Spreading the joy."
The Rage Generator activated, showering the battlefield in its own variety of psychic energy, aided by the dark power of Lord Vader.
Billtodamax's Base
Both Durge and Tails were sent into an insane rampage by the activation of the Rage Generator. Tails charged Durge, who extended one of his arms to bat Tails aside, but the caull dodged and leaped behind Durge, digging a claw into the bounty hunter's back.
Durge reached behind him and literally ripped Tails off of him, slamming him down to the ground in front of him viciously. He sharpened the end of one of his arms, then tried to slam it into the temporarily-stunned caull, to no avail as he rolls out of the way.
Tails took advantage of Durge's missed attack and rammed into him, knocking him towards the last of the ATGM trucks that still had their missiles. Durge recovered and stood up once more, ready for the caull's next attack. Tails charged him once again, and Durge whipped out both of his arms like muscular whips, quickly moving them to hit Tails onto the truck's missiles.
Durge, in his rampage, knew no better. He leaped onto the truck and tried to hit Tails with a claw once again, only for the caull to dodge, causing him to hit one of the missiles, setting off a chain reaction...
Neither survived.
Elsewhere in the base
The Waddle Dees set about throwing various improvised projectiles at each other, like parasols and pies. One pie catches the Clone Engineer straight to the face, preventing him from having a rampage of his own. By the time the Rage Generator's effect wore off, no Waddle Dees had died, but all were certainly covered in pie filling.
The bob-ombs are not so lucky, and explode on the spot.
Uncle Festy's base
The Rage Generator attack slammed into Yoda and Akroma's psi-shielding, not able to affect the army.
Murska's base
The Rage Generator attack is blocked by the gate or absorbed by the WAAAGH!!!. Possibly both if the Kommandoes are still in the field.
Night Surgeon's base
The Rage Generator's unique brand of psychic energy did not mesh well with that of the Protoss. The Mothership, powered by the massive Khaydarin crystal within, shorts out, causing the base to be visible once again. The Warp Rays, with their prismatic cores, overload from the strain caused by the Rage Generator and explode, lighting up the sky with the energies of the Khala and of the Void.
The Super Archon felt the attack rippling through its frame, and it did not bode well for the being of pure psionic energy. The Archon begins to disintegrate, its very existence disrupted by the Rage Generator.
Indiana Jones and his Orchestra, on the other hand, are not so lucky as the Protoss in the area of mental shielding. The Orchestra members beat each other to death with their own instruments, leaving only one, of Billtodamax's choice, standing.
Indy was overcome by the wave of rage, and pointed his gun at the disoriented Adun, his shields knocked out by Uncle Festy's attack.
BLAM!
The legendary Protoss warrior Adun fell to his own ally.
Meanwhile, Lord Vader had another target in mind. Trusting the Redeemer to distract the other forces, he performed a massive Force Jump, blasting what little was left of the Mothership's shields with an odd projectile form of Force Lightning. He landed aboard the Mothership, which was already starting to crash from its power source being disrupted. He easily fought his way through the disoriented crew members, arriving at the massive Khaydarin Crystal that is the Mothership's core.
Vader sets about his work, then the Mothership violently crashed into the ground. When the smoke from the crash is finally clear, the Dark Lord has disappeared, and the Mothership? Powerless.
The Redeemer raised its tri-laser cannon at the being-reconstructed gates, blasting them back down with the massive weapon. The Redeemer was immediately set on by the guarding Reavers, drones unaffected by the Rage Generator attack. It retreats toward Darkcomet's base, unable to defeat all of them before being destroyed itself.
And then?
A dark taint begins to spread across the battlefield... The taint of the Dark Side.

Re: Insanowar 2: Electric Boogaloo
Awesome. However, I can't help but notice that I have 4 units left. 3 of which have been destroyed to almost uselessness. This isn't going so great for me right now. My engineer is now my main offensive unit.

Re: Insanowar 2: Electric Boogaloo
I can't help but to notice that my army is almost unscathed. And because steamrolling the last enemies is decidedly non-epic, I guess I'll have to start taking HEAVY casualties on my own turns or something.

Re: Insanowar 2: Electric Boogaloo
I find it funny that anger can do anything to a robot. Very Funny indeed. You do know that the operations of all protoss systems are robotic right? I fail to see how Anger > Psionic energy Crystals powerful enough to crack the crust of a planet down to the mantle... Anyways I'll take my own advice and roll with it, rather than complaining any further.
Also, next turn expect the Immortals, and the stalkers to be finished.
6 Stalkers, and 7 Immortals.
Also, the super Archon shouldn't be harmed by the anger considering that they are PURE EFFIGES OF MENTAL POWER, yes the all caps in nessescary. Why? Because the Archons are made of the same energy as the rage generator likely produces since it's psychic energy it will likely empower it, not disentergrate it. Does the Phrase "POWER OVERWHELMING!" worry you now?

Re: Insanowar 2: Electric Boogaloo
The RG is a psychic thingy.
The RG's energy is not the same type as that of the Protoss. Like how the Force isn't the same. Similar, but sufficiently different-and the RG's psychic energy meshing with that of the Protoss will probably end up being... Disruptive, to say the least. Hence the Warp Rays going kaboom and the Archon starting to disintegrate, and the Mothership being disrupted.
And I did acknowledge that it wouldn't affect robots-the Reavers were unaffected. Only the psionic energy stuff was disrupted, and I was kind enough to 'forget' that you said that the Carrier is controlled by the pilot's psionic powers, 'cause the RG probably would've made it crash.Avatar by Ashen Lilies.

Re: Insanowar 2: Electric Boogaloo
I think we're dealing with concepts too divorced from reality to really have a set definition for how they work. Psychic energy might hurt another psychic, or they might not.
What I'd do, is play it as initially harming the Archon, as Darkcomet described, with the Archon then adjusting to the energy and drawing strength from it. No changes to the post needed.Avatar by Simius
