GLoG 21/XX1: Half of Life, the Universe, and Everything.

[Ashen Lilies]

The drone looks up from its twibble petting.
Statement: A message drone will be sent for Miss Goswell.
A small message drone drops off the back of the welcome drone and heads to Sam's room, bowling past hordes of twibbles.
It goes back to petting the twibble, letting Butler deal with the meet'n'greet stuff.

[Me.]

Ryu then begins ((mentally)) to pour some blue pain killing energy into the right leg. This will hopefully make the pain go away long enough for him to work.

[Reinholdt]

"Oh come right in ma'am." Butler is rather fond of Sam at this point. Pets and all that. Butler's tail twitches.

"I'll go find her for you ma'am. You can stay here or come with if you'd like ma'am." He ushers the young woman in to the great room and makes sure she's comfortable before going to search the base for Sam.

Butler glares at the drone. He's not fond of drones. Always trying to take his job. He'll try to find Sam before the drones if it comes down to it.

Sam's not in her room, being at the tavern, and opening the door just trips the nitrous oxide grenade that probably won't affect the drone, but man, can you imagine a GLoG drone on laughing gas? Might get Butler if he beats the drone to her room though.

Aurea, for that is the young woman's name, tilts her head to smile tentatively at Dani. Hello... She steps in.

Ryu then begins ((mentally)) to pour some blue pain killing energy into the right leg. This will hopefully make the pain go away long enough for him to work.

That works, as DC relaxes somewhat.

Not up to thinking about just how laughing gas would affect Butler's mannerisms and stuff, if not just knock him out completely.

So drone beats Butler. Butler continues his search but fails to find Sam. He returns to the young woman. "I'm sorry ma'am. Mrs. Goswell doesn't appear to be in ma'am."

[Me.]

Ryu now goes to work. He proceeds to mentally use "human tape" to tape all the broken bones, making sure to fit each piece together carefully and perfectly, like a puzzle. If this works, he makes sure there are no infections, and if so, he washes them out with liquid white energy. After this, he does a double check to make sure alls well, and he pours more white energy into it to clean it, heal it, and speed up the whole process.

[The Bushranger]

The overly chipper redhead smiles back at the newcomer. Hi! I'm Dani! She sticks out a hand to shake. It's good to meet you!

[Darkcomet]

And that works well enough.

Once it's done...

Whatever you did worked. I should probably rest until tomorrow, though...

Oh? If she's out, I can wait for her. She shakes Dani's hand very carefully, having an unusually strong grip. I'm Aurea; pleased to meet you.

[Reinholdt]

"I shall prepare a room for you ma'am. Let me know if you need anything during your stay ma'am." Butler goes off and does this for Aurea.

[Me.]

Ryu nods and smiles at him. He waves goodbye and goes into his room where he sleeps. ((Deadtime))

Dani grins, her own grip being not too firm but not quite as weak as you might expect. Aurea? That's a cool name! She giggles. Can I get you anything to eat while you wait?

No thank you. She looks around curiously. So this is GLoG...

DC falls asleep in the infirmary.

Yeah it is! Dani looks just slightly dissapointed at not getting to show off her cooking. It's home and almost all my friends live here. It's really great!

Hm, is the central doctrine really that different of HALO's? I mean, you guys try to redeem evildoers here, right? I assume that the founders haven't read Paradise Lost... She realizes she's rambling and smiles. Actually, I think I am rather peckish...

Dani shrugs. Well, we try to redeem 'em instead of smiting them, yeah. Although we can do that too! And I don't think I've read that. The tiny redhead grins broadly at hearing Aurea's declaration. Great! This way's the kitchen! She grins and spins off in that direction. Anything you'd particulary want?

Seeing as how everything died for a second, and that I should be going off to bed, Aurea just goes to the room Butler prepared for her.

Sam teleports directly into her room and falls asleep.

Dani delivers a grilled cheese-and-roast-beef sandwich to Aurea's room, in magical stasis so it'll be fresh when she wakes up, then pops away to her own bed to dream of Alexis.
And Judy.

Maybe together.

Aurea, the only one of my characters that is not paranoid, unsuspectingly eats the sandwich when she wakes up.

Sam wanders the base restlessly.

Just 'cause you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you...

But sometimes a sandwich is just a sandwich.

Dani, looking slightly bleary-eyed, heads out of her room and walks in the direction of the kitchen yawning.

[FireFox]

Sam probably enters the kitchen the same time Dani does, and debates quickly leaving before the girl notices her long hair and makes some sort of a fuss about it.

[The Bushranger]

Dani, perhaps surprisngly, doesn't seem to notice as she blearily heads for the fridge and starts rummaging in it.

Sam is getting to see what Dani looks like before breakfast.
It isn't pretty. Cute, but not pretty.

Sam goes to the coffeepot, having instructed the drones to always have a hot brew standing by a while ago, and pours a cup for herself. Coffee?

[The Bushranger]

A slab of bacon gets chucked into the frying pan. 'morning Sam, and please. Dani rubs her eyes and yawns as she turns to head over torwards the coffepot for the liquid waker-upper.

Sam holds out a cup. What's new?

Dani takes it and gulps it down.
That's better...not much. Oh!
She seems to be perking already.
Somebody new arrived last night, I think it might be somebody you know?

Sam touches her hair absently, not used to it being long. Who-oh! Aurea! Damnit, I forgot I invited her here.
