Durkon and Elan got a sending spell asking them to join Haley in Greysky City, then Durkon and Elan "disappeared" from the fleet, but the Katos can't figure out where they went?

I agree that this was the most entertaining comic to read for a while. It's a neat dramatic convention to break the order up, but the strength of this comic has always been (in my opinion) the interplay of the characters rather than the plot. Admittedly, plot has been gaining in importance over time (and Mr. Burlew has stated in his writings that that's where his focus is turning increasingly), but the heart of the strip is still the dialog, interaction, and quite frankly, humor that occurs between six heroes of varying levels of dysfunctionality and their close cohorts. Leaving them broken up for this long was risky to the fundamental paradigm of the comic, and while I have had spots I've enjoyed from the last many months of 'Broken Stick' separation, I am very much looking forward to having them all back together again. It looks like things are finally starting to move in that direction, and I'm very happy :)

Well. That was amusing.

So, the Sending spell got through, and Durkon and Elan are on their way to Greysky. V just solved the refugees' problems, if not exactly for the right reasons. And V seems to have all but completely lost it when it comes to her ego.

Now, I just hope she doesn't snap and do any damage to the fleet before she departs for Greysky...

Oh wow. You finally have the power you need to resolve the problem that's cursed you for months, and it goes and resolves itself while your back is turned. I wonder how V will react to this in the long run?

Wonderful. Nice to see V do some good for a change. But OUCH. All this trouble, rejection from family... only to find out that it wasn't necessary to find Haley.

And yes, it does seem a bit odd that the Katos "don't know" where Durkon and Elan went, with all the dots they have to connect.

I've said it before and shall do so again: If some evil deity is manipulating the plot twists in order to completely break Vaarsuvius in mind and spirit, they couldn't have done a better job.

They know where they are headed TOWARD, not exactly where they ARE. Durkon can't teleport, and whatever boat Hinjo loaned them can't possibly sail fast enough to get back to Greysky (or the nearest port, if Greysky is landlocked). So, they're in the middle of the ocean somewhere right now.

Hrm. I think I said something like this earlier...

Though I give V credit for helping out the Fleet (even if it was so they'd stop being a PITA as far as s/he's concerned). Still, though, if V ends up totally corrupted, V would be on his/her own payroll, I think (and probably looking to hire some goblin clerics that have a Plan too, if you get my drift).
