Looking for "Skin" related spells...
For a small side-project I'm working on having read "Digger", I need more or less any spell or effect or even monster or item that you can think of having a direct relation to skin, affecting the skin, with a skin motif, etc.
Yaknow, Stoneskin, Barkskin, those Psychoreactive skins from the Psionics books... I think there was a BoVD spell that gave it's victims specifically skin-related sensations of an entirely unpleasent nature...

Re: Looking for "Skin" related spells...
A feat and another feat.
The Psionic Power Inertial barrier is described as a skin tight field.
Hellwasp swarms burrow under the skin of the victim and control them from the inside.
Chameleon is a psionic power that grants hide check bonuses by changing skin color.
Red Ache is a disease that bloats the skin.

Heh, can't believe no one has said Flensing yet. Its from Complete Arcane I believe(or possible BoVD), and literally strips strips of flesh off. Wonderful spell...

Re: Looking for "Skin" related spells...
Not sure if it would be of use to you, but we use Stormwrack a lot as we're in a nautical campaign.
From Stormwrack:
~Scales of the Sealord is a druid spell that lets you grow scales, giving you waterbreathing and a few other abilities.
~Kuo-toa Skin is a spell that gives you slippery skin and gives you +'s to Escape Artist.
~Aboleth Curse makes the subject's skin thin and must be kept moist/underwater (like what an aboleth does).
~Urchin's Spines covers the whole body with spines, including the armor/clothes, so I don't know if that would help you.
From Complete Divine (these are all druid spells):
~Poison Thorns is a spell that causes poison thorns to grow from the skin.
~Quill Blast is a spell that shoots quills from your skin like a porcupine.
~Tortoise Shell gives you a shell around your torso and a tough, leathery skin.
Dunno if that will help at all, but there you go!

Re: Looking for "Skin" related spells...
Alright, looking great so far, keep any new ones you can think of coming.
I'm basically trying to gauge how powerful Immunity/control over skin based effects (IE ignoring Stoneskin, immune to Flensing, able to steal magical tattoos and such...) would be. IE how many ECL's it's worth, or actual CL's, or... You get the drift.
It seems broad enough to be useful, but narrow enough to not be all that overpowering...
However, feats are great too- I also considered giving them a bonus feat, but only if taken from some sort of "skin" related feat....
