The world needs more mechanical, missile-launching Morris dancers.

Also, Ferretina looks hawt in the first panel.

Obviously, Othar IS O-Chul! This explains everything! (Or nothing at all depending on your point of view.)

The tail is too mobile and expressive to be just a cloth. Of course this could simply be cartoony exaggeration to make things more expressive, like Zeetha's headband smiley. (Or Asterix's winged helmet.)

The clothes appear to be made of actual fur and give her the appearance of having the same.

    Morris Dancing

The mental image of giant mechanical missile firing Morris dancers destroying a city Godzilla style in sync with their maniacal fiddle playing master who's dressed up like a jester capering out ahead of them makes me smile.

Panel 2 has its good points as well.

    >_> <_< >_>

    What?

But looking back *cough*, her best appearance so far must be panel 4 here in Part 2. And Phil did a spectacular job drawing her face in panel 2 here - with points given for angsty expressiveness rather than hotness.

I came to see if the lack of a verb for the Morris Dancers had been noted and if someone else had the problem of AdBlock Plus blocking the comic image, only to unsuspectingly run into a debate about the attractiveness of human/ferret constructs, with the general consensus being "I'd hit that.".

    And this is bad... how?

Physically, despite her aural dissymmetry, Ferretina is quite attractive. Pyschologically, she's street rat crazy; but we know this isn't her fault, it's the clash between her human and ferret sides that's making her nuts. And maybe the fact that once female ferrets go into heat they can't come out until they've mated. THAT might be having some effect on her, as well. It is clear that what Ferretina needs is a sympathetic ear, a hug, a shoulder to cry on, a cardboard tube she can run through like a maniac, then a cage she can curl up in and sleep for 18 hours. And some toys she can tear apart faster than you can blink. Instead she's got Othar, who DOESN'T GET IT, a bunch of giant, idiot rabbits, and Agatha and Zeetha, who are probably going to clean her clock. How can you disparage those of us who wish to take this poor (and very deadly) waif away from all this, and give her, first, a nice little bell to wear around her neck, and second, the physical and emotional support she needs, as often as she needs it (as long as the Viagra holds out) until the forces that torment her subside and she is able to face life calmly and rationally? And without climbing up the curtains and running back and forth on the curtain rod?

    For SHAME, sir!

(Yeah, I've read some accounts of how house ferrets act. And they seem like great pets. As long as they belong to other people...)

I use AdBlock Plus too and I can see the comic just fine. If you can't, try pressing the "ctrl+F5" button-cache-clearing-shortcut combo.

Technically, this is a case of Parallel Dimension Spoilers. What happens in Othar may or may not be canon - we won't know until it shows up in GG.

Phil is taking some time off from drawing/scripting "real" GG by drawing up an old radio play of his and fiddling around with "What If" storyboards. Busman's Holiday, right?

It is kind of funny that when Phil takes a "break" he continues to draw (at full quality) and script (at full quality) - just not at the same time

I think the fact that he mentions he's never been to Sturmhalten confirms the fact that it doesn't necessarily bear on the main plot, as in "our" universe, he was in Sturmhalten when he saw Agatha perform as Lucrezia with the circus.
