Nope, you won't even know your own WC.
Of course, as with Mao, the winner makes up a new rule/role, sent privately to me, so every game gets weirder, and any rule older than 3 to 5 iterations save base roles/rukes will be phased out.I reserved the right to be wrong. I just try not to exercise it.

I suggest making all the roles interesting to play, then, since otherwise it easily results in getting bored of the game when you have no goal and nothing much to do.

Also, another idea I've had: does anyone here play Diplomacy? I figure if we get 7 players we can do an online play, with an 8th being moderator and taking the movement orders. Any takers?

Ah, right, rules, Pesky things. Here is a list of the various editions; we'll be using 4th edition rules I think.

That sounds like great fun. The main disadvantage of playing in person is that you can always tell who's allying with who, since their discusions last way longer. I don't think I'm going to be around however, but if you run one in about three weeks time...

Re: WW Central 5: All wolves (and sheep) please read OPs
I think I'll abandon the WW Mao idea, as it seems ultimate kaos is fairly similar, and go with starting a Diplomacy thread. As it's only 7 players, plus the gamemaster (me for the first game to get this started) I don't have to schedule, correct? If I do, sorry for the breach of etiquette, but I doubt I'm wrong.

Nope. It's seven players, but, more importantly, it's not a werewolf game.

To avoid derailing Banjo's game any further I'm bringing my question here.
Black Iron Castle. Seer was convinced he was the devil. How? This is going to bother me all day until I find out how this was possible.

First, It was Black Iron Prison. Second, I think only Kaboose himself knows the answer. Possibly Jontom, but tht's not likely, seeing as he forgot it happened in the first place.

Re: WW Central 5: All wolves (and sheep) please read OPs
So, ravnica style games have had a few runs now and I've had an idea for a twist on the theme.
The objective(As with Sharn) is to eliminate one member of a group, the leader. The twist is that the leader is publicly revealed from the start but is immune to kills until his bodyguards are killed. If the leader is autolynched then one of the bodyguards randomly becomes the new leader, but he can be lynched as normal.
It would kick start diplomacy really early, but might remove a level of duplicity that was also pretty fun. Some odd situations could arise as vulnerable leaders are baned or otherwise protected to prevent rival groups from winning.Avatar by Simius

Re: WW Central 5: All wolves (and sheep) please read OPs
Hm. I seem to remember a discussion early on in Ravnica about each faction having a representative that was not to be killed? It didn't happen, but this sounds a bit like that implemented as an actual game concept.

Yeah, wasn't it Selrahc that suggested the idea?
Also, it would be fun if we didn't know which leader was which.Quote Of TheWeekWhenever I Feel Like Updating It (last updated 1/17/12)SpoilerOriginally Posted by Phase

Maybe instead of the bodyguards taking over as leader a random bodyguard is lynched instead. Then you'd have to waste a few days picking off the bodyguards to get to the leader. Then slip in an assassin for each group that can somehow get around this. Not sure how you'd work that since the leaders would be public anyway, but there's bound to be some way. Bonus points if you make only one assassin and make it so each group can basically bid on his assistance.

Re: WW Central 5: All wolves (and sheep) please read OPs
You know I do believe it was!
I still like that idea, and in the wake of both Sharn and Paranoia I thought I might as well pitch the concept as a base rule for criticism.
Also, it would be fun if we didn't know which leader was which.
Maybe instead of the bodyguards taking over as leader a random bodyguard is lynched instead. Then you'd have to waste a few days picking off the bodyguards to get to the leader.
Also, I think I phrased that awkwardly. I was thinking leaders can always be lynched and would have to use diplomacy and bartering to stop themselves getting lynched by their rivals. Not that it is something that only happens to replacement leaders.
Then slip in an assassin for each group that can somehow get around this. Not sure how you'd work that since the leaders would be public anyway, but there's bound to be some way. Bonus points if you make only one assassin and make it so each group can basically bid on his assistance.
I would run a game like this but it would be more fun if I(or whoever) had a setting to plug the idea into.Avatar by Simius

Re: WW Central 5: All wolves (and sheep) please read OPs
Ok, I think I've figured out how the assassin can be worked in and make the game still go well. The game would need the following roles:
Spoiler
Leader - The leader of the team. This role is secret. When lynched a random heir becomes the new leader. The leader, heirs and ambassador all know each other.
Heir - When the leader is lynched a random heir from that team will become the new leader. If there are no more heirs the team loses.
Ambassador - This role is made public at the start of the game. Has diplomatic immunity and as such cannot be voted to death. Will die if targeted by a night kill but a random person who participated in the night kill will also die. (Lets teams screw with each other by killing their opponent's ambassador, but it's a little risky to do so and you'll know by the death description which team did it)
Assassin - Only on assassin in the game. Any time during the day can PM the narrator to declare who he's contracting his abilities out to. While contracting he counts as a member of that team for win conditions. Once per game can night kill any player. If that player is a team's leader none of the heirs take over and that team loses.
Now you have someone who can be out in the public, some bodyguards, and a leader who can still stay hidden. The assassin could join any team and end the game as soon as he knows the leader of another team, but if he's wrong he's wasted his ability.

Today or tomorrow if I'm allowed to, I will post my WW game called "The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion WW Game".
As you might have guessed, it's about the game Oblivion. I will be needing a co-narrator.. Any voluntaries ?
Oh and I will be changing my name to Pablito, just letting you know to avoid confusion.Last edited by Heroic; 2009-07-11 at 10:49 PM.
