A 3.5 multi-classing question

Let's suppose I have a cleric who ended up choosing Healing as one of his domains. Then my cleric ends up taking 2 levels of Paladin and gets Lay on Hands. It seems to me that the Lay on Hands is more of a divine power rather than a spell, so it wouldn't get a bonus from the Healing Domain (healing spells cast at +1 caster level), if the healing domain transfers over to the Paladin at all.
Would Lay on Hands be affected or not?
And would the healing Domain even transfer over for any healing spells the Paladin gets at 6th level anyways?
