Maps! (searching for a city)
It's one of those days again.
Google fails me time and again.
All my old bookmarks have dissapeared.
My brain has decided that it does not remember any of the go-to sites I have used in the past.
I need some nice-looking, generic city maps to use in an urban game of D&D.
When you need maps, where do you go? Do you make them yourself?
Links, advice and discussion are welcome."What can change the nature of a man?"

Re: Maps! (searching for a city)
I sometimes cheat by using a real map of a medieval city. Very handy, especially if they don't have many landmarks named (so you don't have to change much - you just photochop a little).
The rest of the time I just draw them by hand but I guess that doesn't help you...

Re: Maps! (searching for a city)
I just found this (at least one mirror works). After five minutes of using, I find it Awesome. Random generation, so it takes a little tweaking to get the map you want.
Here's a small town map-

Re: Maps! (searching for a city)
I'm surprised that no one has mentioned the Cartographer's Guild, arguably the best & most active online community of map makers in existence. Updates & new content are always flowing in, the tutorials are fabulous, & their forums are well organized for easy searching.
They rock, & I'm proud to be a member there as well.
