GLoG XXXII: The Loved and the Lost

[The Bushranger]

After a moment, Quinn pulls back, not pushing the issue - remembering what happened the last time someone did...
Instead just trying to project calming, soothing thoughts.




Continuity? We don't need no steenkin' continuity!

Alex nods to Corentin and gives Sunny a smile as he enters the Rose Garden past the Gazebo, then pauses, not sure if Alexis wishes company or not.

[The Librarian]

Noticing all the commotion at the other side of the infirmary, the third elite walks over to the groups and stops about to cots away from the group. He looks at Crimson and Quinn oddly.
Interesting, it appears that girl is tying to help the other human by...absorbing the pain. It does not seem to be helping much sadly...perhaps I shou-
The elite's invisibility flickers for a few second making him somewhat visible to anyone looking around the room.
Crap!
The elite ducks under the cot.

She looks lost in thoughts and exhausted. Her black hair is down along her face while her eyes stare at her feet. Right now, she really doesn't notice anyone.

After a time, the bleeding and wounds die away, slowly healed over, leaving Crimson just curled up and crying on the infirmary bed.

[The Bushranger]

Quinn is too busy to notice anything...

Leaning over to sit on the edge of the infirmary bed and trying to pull Crimson into an embrace.
Misaki, can you wet some towels in cool water and bring them to me, sweetie?



After a few minutes debating, Alex walks over and quietly sits next to Alexis on the bench.

Misaki did as she was instructed, looking at Crimson sympathetically.

She looks up and smiles softly to him. Hey...

[AmberVael]

Crimson doesn't move, but also doesn't resist, allowing Quinn to hug her.

[Gazebo]

"Roof! That the word. I get all my knowing back soon enough," Sunny says, confidently. "Before it happen, I was a learner... not learner, student. I was engineering student."

[Infirmary Room 2]

And the security drone, confused, remains on watch, while the machinery continues to monitor Chelonie.

Quinn takes the towels from Misaki with a smile and gently goes to press them against Crimson's forehead, both to wipe away the blood and to try and cool her. It's OK, Scarlet. You're alright.


Alex smiles back, just a little. Hey, Alexis. You alright?

[AmberVael]

"It's just going to come back..."
Says Crimson quietly, depressed.

[Neon Knight]

[Gazebo]

Corentin nodded. "I am sure you'll get all your knowing back Sunny. I bet you were a good student before."

[Gazebo]

Corentin nodded. "I am sure you'll get all your knowing back Sunny. I bet you were a good student before."

Sunny laughs. "I not know that. But I have to be good student now. Much more to learn."

No... She shakes her head, sending more hair around her face. I've never hurt anyone...

[Gazebo]

Corentin smiled and he helped Sunny work on the Gazebo.

We'll be sure to help you both to fight it off and to stop it for good, Quinn promises.



Alex gently slips an arm around Alexis' shoudlers.

She leans against him slightly. I feel like a terrible person.

Crimson doesn't seem very assured, but she rests in Quinn's embrace quietly.

Misaki stood nearby, listening quietly.

[The Bushranger]

Quinn smiles a little at Misaki and nods for her to take a seat, as she starts to softly sing a Celtic lullaby.


We all do things we regret, Alex says quietly, giving her shoulders a soft squeeze. I was taught that what makes us good people isn't so much avoiding making mistakes as what we do when we make them.

Misaki sat down obediently, watching Crimson.

Maybe... She sighs. Or maybe I'm not as good as I originally thought.

[AmberVael]

Crimson closed her eyes, her arms wrapped around herself as she attempts to recover from the pain.

[The Bushranger]

Quinn keeps singing, soothingly and hauntingly as she gently holds Crimson, trying to project a feeling of reassurance and peace.


You are good, Alex says gently, yet firmly to Alexis, hesitating for a minute before continuing. But to people who aren't...it doesn't matter how good you are, sometimes.

He was good around me... She sighs.

[AmberVael]

Eventually Crimson falls into a fitful sleep.

[The Bushranger]

Alex hesitates, then plunges ahead.
But was he good because you made him want to be good, or was it because he knew that was what you wanted to see?


Quinn keeps singing for awhile, smiling a little at Misaki as she gently rocks Crimson in her arms.

[Neon Knight]

Miskai went over to Quinn. "Is she going to be okay?"

[SeptAngel]

I don't know. And I don't know how to tell which is true.

[The Bushranger]

I think so. But this will keep happening until we figure out how to stop it. Quinn sighs a little. It's...I guess like a curse, is the best way to put it.
