GLoG XXXII: The Loved and the Lost

"She's nice. You're going to help her right?" Misaki looked at Quinn hopefully.

[SeptAngel]

I don't know how to trust either. She buries her head against him.

[The Bushranger]

Quinn nods in affirmation. She is, and I will. You'll help her too, right sweetie?



Not knowing what to say, Alex just holds Alexis, one hand going to stroke her hair gently.

[SeptAngel]

She cries softly in his arms.

[Neon Knight]

Misaki nodded. "Of course."

[The Bushranger]

Having never had a girl crying in his arms before, Alex has no idea what he should do next.
Therefore he settles for gently rocking her and making comforting whispers.



Quinn smiles warmly at Misaki, then, very carefully, tries to slip Crimson into the bed and under the covers.

She eventually slows her crying and just lays against him. Sorry you have to see me like this...

Don't be. I wouldn't be a good friend if I was only around when you didn't need a friend, would I? Alex says quietly.

[SeptAngel]

She gives a small laugh. Guess you're right. I owe you a lot you know?

[The Bushranger]

Alex shakes his head, smiling softly. You don't owe me anything for just doing what I should do.

Crimson is easily slipped into bed.

[SeptAngel]

You're too nice... She yawns a bit.

[The Bushranger]

Quinn carefully tucks her in and tasks a meddrone to watch her before turning to Misaki. You should probably go change, she points out...


Alex blushes. I just try to be a gentleman. He smiles at the yawn, a little. Feeling tired?

[SeptAngel]

Haven't slept much... She closes her eyes and leans against him. Really she looks exhausted.

[The Bushranger]

You should get some sleep then. He keeps brushing her hair, softly and gently.

[SeptAngel]

Too late, the teen is completely out cuddled against him slightly. The brushing of her hair probably didn't help keep her awake.

Misaki nodded and returned to Quinn's room to change clothes.

Awwww...
Alex blushes a little, but resigns himself to spending the night on the bench acting as a pillow.
It's a great hardship.



Quinn smiles and heads to the kitchen to prepare a small dinner.

Terrible burden...

Runner and Skrall2 undeadtime in the great room.

Misaki would come out and share a quiet dinner with Quinn.

Quinn sits with Misaki at the table and quietly eats, then leans back in her chair with a sigh.

She gives Runner a small wave.

Runner waves back. How are you doing?

I'm...pretty good, Quinn says with a smile. Just worried about some of my friends. You?

For the most part, I am fine. Who is it that you are worried about?

[The Bushranger]

Quinn sighs. Crimson, because of the curse her..."parents" have her under, Tobias 'cause he hasn't been around for awhile and I'm...fond of him, she blushes... And it goes on. I wish my friends and everyone I care about would all be safe and happy...

That is something we all wish for. Runner's voice tells he would pat her on the shoulder, if he wasn't afraid of crushing her.

Quinn smiles a little, and nods. I guess. She sighs and closes her eyes, starting to softly hum one of her favourite Celtic tunes.
