GLoG XXXII: The Loved and the Lost

Misaki gasped and looked at the structure curiously.

Dani does, in fact, notice, and fires off a Crystalstorm at one of them as it vanishes.

And then does what she does best!

She tries to teleport straight into the Detention Room!

Vlad certainly notices the silhouettes. He keeps running as Dani fires at them. He'll try and get to the detention wing before the elite figures out how to lock it.

The floor of the Gazebo splits in half, and a large metal piston rises up from under it, carrying several Security III drones. One of them turns to Misaki.
Intimidating Statement: You saw nothing!
Another attempts to flash her with a memory removing device for good measure. All of the last 5 minutes will be a blank, should it succeed.
The drones head to the detention block, and the Gazebo returns to normal, leaving no sign of what happened.

The memory removing device works. Misaki rubs her eyes from the bright flash, and looks around at the now normal Gazebo, confused.

Assuming there is a lockpad the elite closes the door, locks it and uses his gravity hammer to smash the control pad. I guess that the doors slam shut afterwards.
There, that should at least stall them, now calm down human, I didn't want to fight you in the first place. I was given orders from my command to find you Susan.
The elite takes out a pad emitting a hologram about his intel and a objective stating "Locate Susan"

One of elites cloak is knocked out whiling the second elite roll-dodged to the side and threw four blue glowing orbs towards Dani specifically. The orbs are plasma grenades, and stick to the any surface and are extremely hard to be pulled off. If it sticks a regular human, it will kill that human. The effective range of the grenade is 10 meters, with 2 meters being deadly.

Dani, however, isn't there anymore.

She's in the Detention Area, having teleported in.

And boy, does she look pissed... Cutely

She promptly fires off two hand's worth of Crystalstorm at the Elite who never bothered to find out Susan's last name.

Runner undeadtimes in the great room.

((Uh, I don't think so. Just in the corridors near the detention wing.))

Vlad arrives at the doors, see as that they're locked, and turns to face the two elites that were following him and Dani. He draws his sword.

Susan catches a glimpse of the pad, and stays silent. She does, however, shift back into a human. She sees Dani, but doesn't say anything.

((What is Susan's last name, I just realized I was looking at on of Happyturtle's characters.))

The Green orb by Susan implodes and Susan's backbone now only has a minor fracture, so she'll live but, she still can't move without feeling a surge of pain.

The two elite upstairs are confused at first by Dani's disappearance, but they immediately come to a conclusion.
Teleportation, keep moving.
The visible elite recloaks with the second elite already in the basement. They immediately see Dani and Vlad blocking the stairs. They still maintain invisibility while looking at them.
Looks like we'll have to fight through if they won't listen to us.
Humans, we do not wish to fight you

"Ah!" Cries Susan as the orb implodes. "What the hell?" She says. Her back starts healing. And all she can think about is how smug Quinn'll look.

Nothing happening in the great room. Runner decides to take this moment to do his routine scan of GLoG systems. Which includes checking all cameras and sensors and drones and stuff like that. He doesn't know anything's happening yet, he just does this to make sure the system's running fine, and that his link to it still works.

"That's great, then leave." Says Vlad, not moving.

((Righty, Dani is inside the Detention Room.
And Crystalstormed the Elite there.

As for Quinn, she'll probably say something about karma. ))

Dani, meanwhile, tries to grab Susan and teleport with her to the Infirmary!

Note that side-effects to intial exposure to Dani's teleportation have been known to include nausea, vomiting, cramps, spinning heads, and, on occasion, catatonia.

((I think I put HT's character as 'Susan Elliot' and BtdM's character as simply 'Susan'. Don't hold me to that though. It's BtdM's fault he chooses such generic names. I ended up registering his NO character's as 'Rebecca (who has a pet rock)', and 'Terrance (the pet rock)' ))

The Security Drones III's patrol, knowing that the PCs have this well in hand. I think.


Edit: BtdM's Susan is 'Susan (werewolf)'. 'tis a sad day when people have to be sorted out by their race.

Susan'll be teleported if the elite doesn't do anything to stop Dani.

((Hey, she was originally intended to be an NPC, they have generic names. And it isn't a pet rock. It's a friend (who happens to be a rock)))

With the bubble shield still active The elite yells as Dani tries to grab Susan.
No One Is Leaving This Room!!
The elite grabs his gravity hammer and tosses it in a rotory motion at Dani. The Gravity hammer even if it doesn't hit Dani or Susan on accident, it will hit a surface that will create large pulse of strong gravity will affect everyone in the room. He also grabs a sphere that has a blue light pulsing on it and gets ready to throw it at Dani.

Susan rises unsteadily to her feet. She'll try and walk away from the shouty elite, until the gravity hamma hits the wall or Dani, when she gets pounded into the ground again.
"Ow."

Dani has enough time to grab Susan, though, so the grav hammer flies through where she was, and makes a nice hole in the wall...


Hmm. Maybe it released Lex?


And so Dani and Susan are now in the Infirmary. What's that all about?!

Runner, after deciphering all the data he was reading, heads straight for the Detention cells, right to where the elite are.

"I caught him sneaking around the detention wing with a malfunctioning cloaking device." Says Susan weakly. She looks around, hoping to not see Quinn.

Susan's safe, there is no Quinn!
Quinn being off on a date...

Dani summons meddrones to come help heal Susan. Are you gonna be OK?

WWWWWWWWWWWWWAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHH HHHHHHHHH!!!
The sound of the elite yell can be heard in the infirmary. The elite in the detention cell picks up his hammer and talks into his earpiece.
Squad Beta: Fallback! I Repeat, Fallback! We'll have to return in larger numbers to create a more secure situation!

All three elites are enveloped in a cylindrical golden glow and disappear.
The discarded Plasma Rifle and the demolished cell, and the exploded wall from the four plasma grenades are the only evidnece left from their visit with GLOG. However...they'll be back soon.

"I'll be fine in a couple of days." Says Susan. She sits up in bed a little, before deciding that that's a really bad idea, and lays back down. She'll try and call over a security drone so she can view the security camera footage. She hears the yell, but ignores it for now.

Dani winces, and summons more security drones to keep Susan safe, even as the original one comes over to provide said recordings.
I'll send Quinn in as soon as she gets back, Dani promises...
pop!
...before she teleports back to Sam's room to carefully snuggle back up to her fiance.

Runner arrives right after they leave. He'll scan the room and see there's nobody there. He'll pick up the Plasma Rifle and scan it. Then he'll head towards the great room, checking the GLoG systems as he goes.

"thanks..." Says Susan as Dani leaves. She flicks through the camera footage after she was teleported out by Dani. She sends a drone to bring her the plasma rifle. It'll probably run into Runner and try and take it off of him.

Runner will tap into the system to override the drone's command, so he doesn't have to fight it off. He notes that Susan made the request, and heads to the infirmary.

He ducks a little through the doorway and looks at Susan. He holds out the Plasma Rifle to her. You wanted this?

"I wanted to know what it was, yes." She replys. "Hurt like hell getting shot with it."

A Starly flies into the GLOG base and lands on a perch in the Great Room and starts tweeting and calling out to people.
Hhheeeeeyyyy...Any of the GLOG members around? I have a message from HALO...I think my master said you might be interested to hear about this.
