Your D&D Stats
I've seen a couple other people who have their results posted in sigs, and I find the results really interesting. If you'd like to take the survey yourself to see what you get, the link is here.

DM: They didn't do it with swords!

Re: Your D&D Stats
Well, your class has more to do than attributes for this. It chooses your class also based on your personality.

Re: Your D&D Stats
If the test asks - are you charismatic? Yes/no. are you experienced? Yes/no. - it's not accurate.
I have taken several of these tests and I hate this one the most.

Re: Your D&D Stats
I am happy I didn't have to fight monsters to get these 4 levels: this about the gimpiest character one could roll up :P. I remember being a lawful neutral wizard in an other test like this. Liked that better.

True Neutral Elf Druid (4th Level)
Ability Scores:
Strength- 13
Dexterity- 14
Constitution- 14
Intelligence- 20
Wisdom- 16
Charisma- 15
True Neutral? That is seriously bizarre, I am very much not neutral. I think this one tends to be off a little on physical stats. While con includes health and tolerance to toxins and can be justified, I wouldn't put my own strength above 10 or 11. I'm a bit overweight, but my job involves lifting, so I've stayed in what I would consider no more than average. I think I got Elf Druid purely because I was in scouts as a kid and like camping. Unfortunately I haven't been camping in years, and I am very much not elf-like. Physically, if I were shorter, I'd be a perfect dwarf.
-Edit- Wtf, I read the breakdowns, I didn't have a single Evil answer, I should totally be good; Additionally, I had twice as many Lawful as Chaotic.Last edited by Evil the Cat; 2009-06-28 at 04:51 PM.

That would actually be really cool. If those were my IRL stats and if I was really a ranger/sorcerer, I'd have a lot of fun.
edit: looking at the PHB, this would actually be a fun character to play, I think.

At least I can probably take most of you in a fight, only the Wizard 5 would be a real threat, and they don't come into their own for a few more levels.

Re: Your D&D Stats
Neutral Good Human Bard/Wizard (2nd/1st Level)
Ability Scores:
Strength- 12
Dexterity- 13
Constitution- 12
Intelligence- 16
Wisdom- 12
Charisma- 15
I think this test is a little generous on the physical scores, I definitely don't have a Con bonus. I've taken this before and it seems to change a little every time, I dunno, I'm pretty sure I answered the questions the same but who knows. I always get some kind of Arcane caster though.
Edit: Looking at other ppl's posts, it seems a lot of people must have picked the "I've done vastly more than most people my age" option on the question about life experience...because I'm not particularly young and everyone seems to have more levels than me. But I guess people under 25 always overestimate how much they know compared to everyone else
If I was to just pick my own scores:
Str 11 (slightly above average)
Dex 13 (decent shot with a bow and pistols, fairly quick, but not that coordinated)
Con 10 (Smoked for a long time and don't have the best immune system, but I feel pretty healthy most of the time anyways).
Int 13-14 (IQ tests tend to fall in 130's, and I pick things up and memorize facts better than a lot of ppl I know, but I also know I have friends that are smarter than me)
Wis 11 (meh)
Cha 14 (I have a...forceful personality. People tend to pay attention to me, and I always lead conversations, D&D parties, etc).Last edited by Grynning; 2009-06-28 at 05:10 PM.

Re: Your D&D Stats
How completely can I agree without being taken as a jerk? I'm 19 with average experiences. Average includes school, every event outside school I could manage, about ten years of crazy fun with all of my friends, and multiple near-death situations. This is common. Unless you guys are all 40+...
I'm much more appalled by people's personal opinions of their own stats. Given that 10 is human average, the one that had a 20? I believe I'm justified in saying that's simply ridiculous.Once again, Felyndiira's responsible for the psychotically-cool Dellyn Goblinslayer avi.

Re: Your D&D Stats
I answered "as much life experience as anyone else" and got 4th level. I'm 28 years old.
Also, it's really not that farfetched for some of us to have high scores on this test. Yes, some people lie when taking tests like these, but that doesn't mean that everyone does.Last edited by JaxGaret; 2009-06-28 at 05:44 PM.

Re: Your D&D Stats
Every single "stat yourself" thread on this forum eventually degenerates into an argument about people giving themselves high scores (particularly intelligence). It's been pointed out, many times, that if there really were this many people running around with Lex Luthor and Doc Savage type intelligence scores, we'd have cured cancer and colonized Mars by now if they weren't all sitting on their duffs playing D&D and goofing off on the internet.
Granted, D&D Int scores are very tough to compare to real life IQ (which is already incredibly difficult to measure), and statistics do dictate that there would be a fair number people with high scores if you are basing D&D scores on rolling 3d6.
However, I don't roll for scores, and I'm of the opinion that nobody IRL would really have scores above about the equivalent of a 25 point buy (using 3rd ed rules).Last edited by Grynning; 2009-06-28 at 05:56 PM.

Re: Your D&D Stats
A 20 Intelligence means you're more than a bit arrogant about it. That's 2 above the human maximum for anything short of 8th level, and I highly doubt that anyone here is 8th level. There's a reason the "elite array" only has one 15 in it. Am I the only one getting blistered by everyone's ego?
EDIT: Gry beat me to it. Thanks.Last edited by L'intrigant; 2009-06-28 at 05:52 PM.

Re: Your D&D Stats
Uhm, just FYI - we're using a program that asks you questions and you answer them >.> you don't actually write down your stats.
I'd definitely have given myself lower physical stats for one.
I answered questions with things like "I'm out of shape"
"I don't exercise"
"I would rather read a book than exercise" etc...
This isn't people necessarily picking high stats - that's the program.
I got a 16 wisdom, even though in reality I'd call it and my int roughly even (I'd say 14) and my Charisma should probably be a 10. Maybe - just *maybe* a 12. (I have doubts about that.)Last edited by mistformsquirrl; 2009-06-28 at 05:57 PM.
