Stat an IRL celebrity!
So, the D&D stat yourself thread was turning into the standard argument about scores, so I'm going to try and deflect it with something else fun.
Basically, pick someone well known, and stat them as a 3.5 D&D character. Let's stick with a 25 point buy, mostly core/complete material and a level cap of around 10th.
So, to kick it off, in memoriam of the Prince of Pop:
Michael Jackson
Level 6 non-spellcasting Bard.
Str 10
Dex 14
Con 10
Int 12
Wis 10
Cha 16
Feats: Skill Focus (Perform: Singing), Skill Focus (Perform: Dance), Persuasive, Leadership (he did have very devoted fans around the world)
Edit: Added the level up stat point.Last edited by Grynning; 2009-06-28 at 06:09 PM.
My friend and I have a blog, we write D&D stuff there: http://forgotmydice.com/

Re: Stat an IRL celebrity!
Really? I'd probably peg him as a necromancer.
Or maybe a rogue?

Billy Mays
Medium Object (Corpse)
Hardness 1
Hit Points: 20
Also, wasn't there some alternate bard class feature or something in Dragon Mag. that made the bard debuff instead of buff? I think maybe Michael Jackson should probably have that. Thanks to Queenfange for the awesome avatar!

Re: Stat an IRL celebrity!
Actually, having a low intelligence does mean you're stupid. He'd have to be smart (fairly high int) to use those tactics, but that doesn't mean he knows advanced math (as he wasn't taught it).
10-11 in any stat is the human average. An int of 8 means a person is quite stupid.Last edited by DamnedIrishman; 2009-06-28 at 06:35 PM.

Re: Stat an IRL celebrity!
Various tactical feats require 13 intelligence - I think it's a good assumption William Wallace had at least that. An idiot does not become a successful military leader.

Re: Stat an IRL celebrity!
25 point buy seems a bit low, its good for Joe average, but we're statting some of the most famous and great people that ever lived, it makes sense their ability scores would be better.

I'm pretty sure this isn't allowed.
But I'm probably wrong, as always.

Re: Stat an IRL celebrity!
Custer was not an idiot, he was arrogant. He didn't plan and he didn't scout. Maybe low wisdom, but I wouldn't say low intelligence.
edit: damn my job... "Custer" and "Customer" are very close when it comes to spelling... and I type the latter several times every day, it just kind of happened.

Re: Stat an IRL celebrity!
ARGH! Godwin's Law states:
"As a Usenet discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches"
Invoking Godwin's Law doesn't make any sense! Even if you were to invoke it, it wouldn't mean using Nazis in an analogy, it would mean "as this discussion gets longer, it becomes more likely somebody will reference the Nazis".
