So, Ethergaunts?

Recently, Ethergaunts came up in the recruitment thread for a game on these boards. And since, a few years ago, I had started writing a campaign setting set on the ethereal after the destruction of the material, I was sufficiently interested to go check them out.
However, the Fiend Folio doesn't actually have much information about them: they are really interesting, and it's tempting to write up an entire civilisation for them, but before that, I'd still like to ask:
Have they be mentioned anywhere else, in adventures, dragon magazines, old books?
