Droid toilets. R2-D2 was originally designed as such, but then they realized he don't take **** from nobody. ;-)

Robot guns. You don't carry them on you, you use them as mobile turrets.
Robot helmets/armor suits. These you outfit with the best sensor enhancing and shielding equipment money can buy. Then the droid protects you and tells you everything you've ever wanted to know about the target.

No, robot handguns are probably better than turrets. Self-reloading, self-aiming handguns that (with a bit of gyroscopic help) turn on and kill any enemies who try to scavenge them, possible interrogating them while they wait for their masters to pick up the wounded prisoner? And nobody sees anything but a basic blaster until it's too late? Sheer awesomeness.
