Uber-Combat Builds
Ok fellas, I have my own Uber fighter build and Im sure we all have at least one or two we've worked up over the years. Now I wanna hear yours! Tell me how your halfling/tiefling is the best fighter ever at whatever level because of the build youre useing. I wanna know people!
Focusing mostly on base races of course, but Im willing to hear out all your half ogre barbarian/frezied-bezerker uber-chargers as well!Last edited by Astraden; 2009-07-21 at 02:43 PM.
Give a man a match, and he'll be warm for a minute, but set him on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life!

Re: Uber-Combat Builds
Eh...mine is rather simple, but it does a good job.
1 Rogue, 1 Swashbuckler, 2 Rogue, 2 Swashbuckler, put the rest in Rogue. Thus far it's set up for a level 10 character.
Feats: (Non-human) Combat Expertise, Weapon FinesseB, Improved Feint, Improved Disarm, Daring Outlaw(Complete Scoundrel, levels stack for Sneak Attack, Dodge bonus and Grace), Two-weapon fighting.
With the enhancements to armor/etc., an equal level fighter with, say, 20 strength and a +3 weapon has to roll an 18 or higher to hit. The character can then turn around, canceling out Combat Expertise/Defensive fighting and feint, followed by an average of 50 damage/round. And a non-light considered weapon that Weapon Finesse can be applied to is being used, so there isn't a penalty to disarm.Last edited by Jergmo; 2009-07-21 at 03:57 PM.
SpoilerDM: "Sunder the wall?! WT**** kind of tactics are these!?"
Me: The kind that armies have been using for millennia.
DM: They didn't do it with swords!
Me: Which makes us so much cooler.
Player: Where are the babau in relation to everyone else?
Me: They're right behind you. Vesil is covered in Loki's blood. That is their location in relation to you.
Player: I was just wondering about a fireball.

Re: Uber-Combat Builds
I'm new to dnd, so I have just been playing around with combo's not having looked up a million and one optimisations.
I was wanting to play a shifter (for character fun) so I came up with this:
Race Shifter Wolverine
Ranger 6, Waretouched Master 1, Warshaper 1, WTM 2, WS 2, WTM 3, 4, 5
Stacked Str and Con
Feats: Weapon Focus Axe, WF Dagger, Improved Natural Attack(shifter feat), Distracting Attack(no pet), Multiattack, Bear Fang by level 9
Great Bite, Raptor School by level 12
Free Feats/abilities by level 13 (a level 13 build): Endurance, Favoured enemy x2, Two weapon style + Improved, Track, Low light, Wild Empathy, Hybrid Form (wolverine), Rage (wolverine), Critical and Stun Immunity, Frightful shifting
+4str +2con shifting
+4str +4con perma WS
+4str +8con +4dex Hform (stacking with shifting)
then I buy some enlarge person wands
and wolverine rage activates when I am hit for
+4str +4con and doesn't tire me out afterward (as opposed to normal rage)
throw on gauntlets of ogre strength if you have the money
That gives me 2 battleaxe and 2 dagger attacks, a free grapple with HUGE grapple bonuses, and a natural bite attack that is enlarged to 4d6 damage,
D6base
D8improved
2D6wolverine
3d6warshaper
4d6enlarged
5d6flaming (shrug)
Some fun variety/tactics moves that go well with a high hide/Msilently from raptor school (for roleplay).
buy an necklace of (flaming) natural attacks (teeth) (savage species)
and you got one roleplay-friendly scary mofo werewolf with flaming mouth.
The BAB isn't bad, I havent lagged behind yet in a power game, and I can play through as a 'thirst for the hunt' kind of guy. Neutral Good of course. :P
The only problem I find is low AC for when I am forced to tank, but the High con bonuses keep me alive.
If anyone wants to help me out on this build, I'm only level 7 at the moment, and it would be interesting to hear people's munchkin stuff.
Pretty basic idea, I was going with, Strength on Strength stacks (because I'm a newb).

Re: Uber-Combat Builds
If you are starting at level 19 you can be a Vampire Werewolf Half-dragon Troll. Pretty brutal stuff.
