    (Psst. I have my all-day buffs in a section of the sheet viewable only to the owner, along with 1 round's worth of buff time. That way, I only need to think of a couple rounds of buffing.)

    Sorry about the delay, that took longer than I thought.

    Alita

    Move Action: Alita flaps her wings and takes to the sky moving to M10.

    What does she see in the red zone? (Vision Modes: Normal, True Seeing)

    I'll tell you what my standard action is when I've seen you. For now you see a petite but well-built human girl, with short black hair, in body hugging leather armour. Sprouting from her back are a pair of bizarre metal feather wings. Sort of like this:



    She also holds a gnarled, crudely crafted wooden staff in her hands.

    And yes, I copied and pasted that from the previous fight. Make a spot check vs DC 20.

    You spot nothing unusual about the Human girl. (Spot Check was against purely mundane source so True Seeing Doesn't help)

    Lets see if Alita can make this check first:

    A Knowledge of 24 is a success, per knowledge rules on p. 78 of the PHb.

    A bit of useful information:
    Trolls are possessed of Darkvision more sensitive than a dwarf (90 feet), can see in dim light as well as an elf (Low-light vision), and have a nose as keen as a hound's (Scent).

    Beat by 5: Trolls have Regeneration, healing most wounds in short order, unless made by fire or acid. Because of this, trolls generally have strong fear of fire.

    Beat by 10: Trolls are savage fighters, wading into melee with reckless abandon. They're more observant than their wisdom would normally indicate (Alertness), More resistant than the average giant to effects which attack the mind (Iron Will), and, when foes flee before their savage blows, have been known to track their victims for days, driving them to exhaustion before killing and feeding upon them.

    Where are you after the reflex save exactly? Or rather where are you now?

    Edit: Also, might the Sword get left behind inside the wall of stone? It was on the ground next to you. And now all that ground is inside the Wall, while you are outside of it.

    Reflex saves don't move you. The easiest explanation I can think of would be a method similar to wall of ice, where blocking it as it forms can leave a slight hole. (With wall of ice, the whole spell fails)

    And TBH, his offense doesn't go down if he loses his sword. Claws, bites, rend... He's got a wide array of weaponless options.

    Also note: That's an 11 foot long oversized claymore. It lies in multiple squares.

    I might argue that in that case you don't get a reflex save to prevent entrapment, since the wall (which doesn't have a roof) won't entrap your flight capable troll to start with.

    But thats being nitpicky. We'll go with the wall being intact, and your troll reflex puts it outside the wall. So where on the wall is your troll?

    It's not domed? Oh, then this is simple.

    1) I made a reflex, so I can't be entrapped by the wall.
    2) If I stay right where I'm at, I'm not entrapped by the wall.

    Easiest solution, I don't move at all. Your "nitpicky" answer is the perfect solution. I wholeheartedly approve.

    I'm inside the wall, and not trapped, as my shoulders and head are higher than the wall.

    Those metal wings in her description? Yeah, they are actually functional. And they are not magical. So yes, Alita can fly while in an AMF. Where did your troll land, Alita is trying to move towards him.

    Activate Belt of battle (3 charges) - An additional full round's worth of actions.
    Cast Wall of stone, encircling my square, and doming it, on the top and bottom. 3 inches thick.

    Play: Perform (1d20+19)[32] DC 20.
    If successful, wall is impervious to harm.

    Best of all, wall blocks line of effect between the AMF and the lyre, so the very object the lyre makes invincible (the lyre does have line of effect to the wall) prevents the AMF from draining the lyre.


    Actually, I'll do something else. I'd rather not disengage entirely.

    Fly 40 feet up (double move, as movement up costs double), Dimension door another 920 feet. Currently at elevation 970.
